Positive: The public bath was cool especially the outdoor view. Love the various hot (salt, iron, sulphuric) baths and the cold tubs!

Negative: A little too commercialized.

Summary: Very clean, comfortable stay with free style buffet breakfast and dinner. Love the public bath!

Positive: The hot spring bath was great. The food served at the cafe was nice too.

Negative: This was my second visit. I stayed at the property eight years ago and was so impressed back then that I booked a stay here without a second thought. However, I am shocked by the rundown condition of the rooms and poor service of the staff. I felt quite unwelcome this time. Asked the front desk where I could get a taxi to go to the JR station and was told that wasn't possible. Finally found help at the Information Centre near the Onsen bus terminus.

Positive: The onsen and baths were the feature of the hotel. They are large, varied, and a unique experience. Certainly worth a visit

Negative: The food on offer at the hotel at it's varied restaurants was overpriced and low quality. As someone with a food allergy there was nothing in the building for me to eat

Positive: The room with the private tub was absolutely gorgeous. The hotel was literally outside of the station.

Negative: The breakfast and dinner buffet left much to be desired. I would pass on the food and just stay in the room next time.
