Positive: Meeyan Ella Resort - Highly Recommended! Meeyan Ella Resort is a beautiful getaway located just a short distance from the Ihalakotte Railway Station. It is the perfect place to relax in a stunning, tranquil environment. One of the highlights of our stay was visiting the meeyan Ella (waterfall) and bathing in the refreshing natural stream nearby. It was truly rejuvenating and helped us wash away all our stress. The owners are incredibly kind and hospitable. They went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met and made us feel right at home. We also appreciated the flexibility of being able to use the kitchen to prepare our own meals. If you're planning to cook, just remember to bring your own groceries and supplies. Overall, a wonderful experience! If you are looking for a peaceful nature retreat, this is the place to go.

Positive: Scenery Climate and Hospitality.The Breathtaking scenery of the mountain range was amazing. It gives you a few different colour combinations during thei different times of the day.The bungalow needs no a/c as the cool breeze is flowing through day and night. Ranjan and Malani our hosts were always ready to meet our demands..Although located on a remote mountain area they were ready with many options to solve our problems.

Negative: The space outside isn't enough for visitors to walk around..mountain area and the path to the top of the mountain should be clear from small bushes Rooms are OK.add some comfort to the lobby area seating.

Positive: I had a wonderful experience at Meeyan Ella Rest. The location is perfect—just 100 meters from the Ihalakotte railway station and only 300 meters to the stunning Meeyan Ella viewpoint. It's also the ideal base if you're planning to hike Alagalla, as the trail starts right here. The rest is clean, peaceful, and very reasonably priced—definitely worth the money. What made the stay even more special was the owner’s friendliness and hospitality. They were always ready to help with anything we needed and gave great tips about the area. If you're looking for a convenient, comfortable, and budget-friendly place with easy access to nature and hiking, Meeyan Ella Rest is the perfect choice. I’d gladly return!

Positive: If you are travelling to Sri Lanka, I strongly reccomend visiting Meeyan Ella Rest! The hostel is on the route to Badulla, two hours train ride from Colombo. It is located 2 minutes from the railway station Ihalakotte, so you dont need to worry about logistic. The surrounding area is absolutely brilliant and picturesque - you can visit waterfalls and hike in the mountains. The closeness to railway station allows you to take a train and visit other places nearby. The place is really cosy, comfortable and clean, with many facilities - after the day you can have a rest and relax far from the noise. The hosts are really kind and very helpful- they will make your stay unforgettable. Come and visit Meeyan Ella Rest!
