Positive: We stayed 1 night at the cloud, the views were absolutely amazing inside the room and outside of the room. The owner was very attentive even before we arrived at the cloud, really spent his time engaging with you about the surroundings, the resort and the spices and tea in the area. He couldn’t have done enough for you. Always at the end of the phone and even when we had left he wanted to know if we had reached our next destination safely due to the weather conditions and still was available if we needed anything. We had dinner in the room which was a traditional Sri Lankan dinner which was very yummy. We had a little family of lizards in the room which was equally lovely to hear them, could see bats flying outside catching the flies which was nice to watch. In the morning we were greeted by a gang of monkeys which was funny to watch and get some great pictures as they come up to the windows.

Positive: The communication was excellent even before we arrived. Inthizar our host was so helpful with quick responses and perfect English. Even during extreme weather conditions we were very well looked after with personalised meals cooked for us. Travel organised and made to feel very safe.

Negative: We were there during a cyclone so the whole country was in a disaster but we were so well looked after and all the staff were very kind and helpful to us.

Positive: The view was breathtaking - I just wish the rain cleared up for us to see the stars. This unique place really felt special. One thing I wish the place had is a dehumidifier. Because of the humidity, it does feel a bit stuffy so a dehumidifier would help make the place feel and smell clean.

Negative: The leaks we had through the ceiling when it rained and the mildew smell we had due to the humidity which made the place feel stuffy.

Positive: The view from our bedroom was absolutely unbelievable, especially from our very comfortable hanging bed. The brothers that own and run the resort are fantastic, so interesting and full of knowledge. They delivered delicious food to our room. Their communication was excellent and they couldn’t have done more to help us.

Positive: Everything about this property is exceptional. The Mountain View rooms, with their full glass windows and private patio seating, offer breathtaking views and beautifully curated interiors. The serene, secluded setting, away from the main town and that was exactly what I was looking for, surrounded only by the soothing sounds of nature and birdsong. Wi-Fi is not available, which was perfectly fine for me, as it added to the peaceful, unplugged experience. The staff were incredibly courteous, prompt, and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay. A special mention to Mr. Inthizar, the owner and host, whose warmth, helpfulness, and genuine hospitality truly set this place apart. He went above and beyond, not only ensuring our stay was comfortable, but also helping with taxis, sharing local tips, and even guiding us during our trip after we had checked out. If I could, I’d give this place 11 out of 10 stars. Highly recommended for anyone seeking calm, scenic, and heartwarming hospitality away from city’s chaos.
