Positive: Dream Home This is a 5 minute read, but when something is this good it needs more than just a sentence or two. Location 3km from Kadugannawa 18km from Kandy centre Nestled in the hillside and surrounded by trees, trees, palms and more trees as far as you can see. This is a hidden gem of a building, and the setting is beyond outstanding. The Property The whole area is approx 55M x 40M including gardens, pool, and an original chimney stack from where the old tea factory drying house once stood. Outside Starting with your own private pool which is approx 15M x 7M and is the perfect temperature to cool down in the heat of the day. The gardens focal point being an approx 12M high orginal chimley stack sits next to pretty little birds nesting in the trees of shade with fire flys flickering at night and a very friendly and snuggly house dog. The building it's self sits over 2 floors, with a base footprint of approx 20M x 10M (its massive) and built on the foundations of the old tea factory. A discreetly and secluded positioned luxury grand design / dream home where the old stone work of the drying house has been used around the whole building adding history and feature. The Indoor Space, Downstairs you have a triple aspect floor to ceiling glass walled sitting area approx 8M x 10M with side windows and fans for air flow, 2 settees that double as extra bed space if needed and artwork in a Rothko / Song like style. Leading to a similar size downstairs bedroom offering dual aspect floor to ceiling glass walls, immaculately spotless clean, an extra large memory foam bed, feather pillows and pure cotton 400 TC bedding, a small fridge with frezzer compartment plus a single bed on from this is an equally lavish ensuite. Upstairs offers a half glass wrap round balcony dinning area, giving elevated views towards the hills and mountains, leading to another bedroom with 2 more double beds and another ensuite bathroom. The Food and Drink Offering.

Positive: We booked Tea Heritage after seeing how beautiful the property looked online and how reasonably priced it was, and it exceeded our expectations from the very beginning. Communication with the host was excellent even before we arrived. We had a few specific requests, especially around my partner’s dietary needs, and the host was more than happy to accommodate everything. They were flexible, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our stay exactly how we wanted it. The food was a major highlight. We were served delicious home-cooked meals with a great variety of dishes tailored to our preferences, even accommodating last-minute requests without any hesitation. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The property itself is spacious, private, and incredibly serene. It felt like a true escape into nature, surrounded by misty hills and peaceful views. We love outdoor experiences, and being offered a visit to a nearby organic farm was a wonderful bonus and one of the most memorable parts of our stay. We were also surprised with a candlelit dinner to celebrate our special occasion, which made our engagement even more magical. It was the perfect setting, and we genuinely could not have asked for a better place for such an important moment in our lives. A special mention to Palitha, who took great care of us throughout our stay, and to Dinu, the co-host and chef, who always made sure we were comfortable, well-fed, and well looked after, and not to Forget Thilina, the other co-host who was always available on the phone to coordinate everything. Their hospitality made a big difference. Amazing privacy, stunning views, a beautiful location, and heartfelt service. We absolutely loved our stay and are already looking forward to visiting again.

Positive: We stayed at Tea Heritage for our honeymoon, and it truly felt magical. The setting is incredibly picturesque, surrounded by lush greenery and peaceful views. Usually, hotels in Sri Lanka feel a bit outdated, but this property is brand new with a beautiful contemporary design. In Europe, a glass pavilion like this would easily cost a minimum of USD 2,000 per night — we feel so lucky to have found this gem for such a great price. The nature trail experience was unforgettable, with Jagath Nishantha and Vinoda doing a fantastic job explaining the flora, fauna, and history along the way. And the food — oh, the food! Dinushika’s mouthwatering dishes were the highlight of our stay; we loved every bite. The place is immaculate, spacious, and the huge swimming pool makes it even more special. We absolutely loved it and can’t wait to return.

Positive: We usually go for budget-friendly hotels, but this time we were searching for something exclusive, picturesque, and with a good vibe. That’s when we found Tea Heritage and it was everything we hoped for and more. We absolutely loved their “one couple at a time” policy. It was just the two of us in the entire property it felt like our own private resort. The suite was by far the largest bedroom and living room we stayed in during our entire trip. It’s not just a room, it’s a full-on glass pavilion with stunning mountain views. And the private pool the biggest we've ever had to ourselves was a dream. The host personally took us to a hidden sunset spot just a short walk away, and it was breathtaking. We're into yoga, and they even arranged a private yoga session with a teacher just for us. We also booked an Ayurvedic massage, and it was absolutely fabulous deeply relaxing and authentic. This place gave us privacy, nature, luxury, and a warm, personal touch. We’ll definitely be coming back next time. Tea Heritage is a rare gem a truly private and unforgettable escape.

Positive: Booked Tea Heritage for our anniversary and honestly… my wife was stoked! As soon as we walked in, we knew we’d hit the jackpot. The suite was massive , proper roomy , with floor-to-ceiling glass that gave us unreal views of the mountains. Felt like waking up in a dream. The whole place has this fresh, modern vibe, but it’s tucked in the middle of nature, so you’re completely surrounded by lush green beauty. Every night, we even spotted fireflies dancing outside ,haven’t seen those since we were kids! Gave us full-on goosebumps. Then came the cherry on top – a candlelit dinner under the stars just for us. No other guests, just the two of us and the sky above. Pure romance. Felt like we were on the set of a movie. And the food? Next level. Most of it came straight from their own garden – how good’s that? Dinu, the chef and co-host, whipped up some mouthwatering homemade Sri Lankan dishes that we’re still dreaming about. Everything tasted like it was made with love – and a bit of firewood magic. Don’t even get me started on the pool – absolutely huge, with views to die for. The best bit? They only host one couple at a time, so we had the whole place to ourselves. Talk about VIP treatment!
