Positive: The host was an extremely kind person, as were his family and their dog Bruno. We received great recommendations for the surrounding area and for Kandy. The accommodation is perfect for nature lovers — in the evenings you can hear grasshoppers and frogs, and in the mornings the rooster and birds. The place was beautifully decorated, and the shower room was one of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen. We definitely recommend this place!

Positive: Unforgettable stay Our stay at Ancient Garden Villa was absolutely amazing and one of the best experiences we had in Sri Lanka. The host and his wonderful family made us feel truly welcome and did everything possible to help us throughout our stay. They cooked incredibly delicious homemade food, helped us whenever we needed anything in town, arranged tuk-tuks for half the usual price, and even assisted us with planning our trip. Thanks to them, everything was easy and stress-free. The room was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable, with the huge bonus of a hot shower, which is quite rare in Sri Lanka. The warm family atmosphere made this place truly special. This is not just accommodation, but a real experience. Highly recommended.

Positive: Well I don’t know where to start. I could write a book about this place. We were in love from the minute we checked in, the family made us feel so welcome. Our room was huge lovely quirky little pond in the room with a few fish. The bathroom was really really stunning made out of all recycled rocks and the room was immaculately clean. Little pool to cool down at the end of the day, amazing breakfast. We had a cooking class which was offered by Gayashan and we also had a barbecue with the family which included music. This family quickly became a part of our family. They couldn’t do enough for us. I miss the children they are so lovely, also not forgetting Bruno, kitty and their cockerel. We booked Gayashan for the rest of our tour of Sri Lanka (15 days) and what an amazing guy he is. He’s friendly, he’s funny, he has an amazing sense of humour, he goes above and beyond to make your stay Just perfect. I cannot wait to come back. This is the first time to Sri Lanka and it will certainly not be the last. ❤️❤️❤️ I waited until I was back in the UK to do my review and let’s just say I miss you so much my brother from another mother. The bond between Gayashan and my husband will last a lifetime.

Positive: Wow, I really recommend this place. The owner was super super helpful and really nice. I never had an experience like this before. It was our first night in Sri Lanka and he helped us with transportation (we came by public bus). He told us where to go etc. The room was really nice. He borrowed us an adapter extra blanket and also a mosquito net. We were with him to elephants, bets and waterfall. All the time he asked us if we needed something. Even after accommodation he told us that he will help us if we need it. We also got pick up from the bus station.
