Positive: Best place I've stayed in, in the 5 months of travelling. From the meet and greet at their pier where the boat drops you off just below where you are staying. The apartment is beautifully decorated, large and feels like the holiday home you've dreamed of retiring to. It has a large outdoor verandah with 4 sets of chairs, 2 tables and a hammock to relax in while savouring the fantastic view of Lake Toba. Also 2 sunbeds at the lakeside, nice to relax on after a swim. There's a comfortable lounge area with dinning table and chairs, cozy rug and subtle lighting if you don't want the bigger light on. The kitchen at the back has everything you would need if you wanted to cook. Well stocked. The bedroom is spacious with mosquito netting. Comfortable bed and pillows. Lovely rug to step out of bed onto. Plenty of storage and space to hang your clothes. Handy portable clothes airer too. The bathroom has a hot shower, spacious, again everything you need including a hand towel as well as bath towels, shower gel and shampoo. The restaurant upstairs is outstanding too. 5 stars from me for the food. With a great view of the lake. I ate here every night and tried something different each time. Delicious, not spicy but lots of layers of flavour. Ali is a fabulous chef. I highly recommend both the accommodation and the restaurant. Thanks for a lovely 5 night stay Ali, Echo and team.

Positive: It’s right next to the lake! The food and tourist amnesties around. The reasonable price. The relaxing hammock. The fact that there is only 2 accommodation so you have ample privacy.

Negative: Those pesky jet skies that starts up from 7am daily! The couch bed that the kids had wasn’t the best!

Positive: Excellent location; quiet and basic, right on the water, easy access to lots of restaurants and shops nearby. For the amazingly cheap price, I wasn't expecting hot water in the shower, so that was a huge bonus

Positive: Wonderful 4-night stay. The owner and staff are super kind and welcoming. The apartment was so functional--I can see why it can also be rented long-term. Favorite thing was probably the hammock and view of the lake, as well as the convenience of the vegetarian restaurant!

Negative: I really can't think of anything I didn't like, but if I had to suggest something, perhaps including a mini breakfast for guests, maybe just basics like coffee, fruit, toast would be really nice. There aren't any real grocery stores in Tuktuk, so eating out for 3 meals a day really added up. One other suggestion could be to add another lamp or two, as the rooms were a bit dark at night.
