Positive: Honestly, we were so sad to leave this homestay. Hisar, Mama Effy and their family are the perfect hosts and made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. They genuinely care about their guests and always made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The room was spacious with plenty of space to unpack our large backpacks, and the shelving unit made organising and repacking very easy. The mattress was comfortable, and the views across Lake Toba were absolutely breathtaking. The atmosphere was so peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to relax and slow down. The family are also planning further refurbishment and development, and we are excited to see how this lovely place grows in the future. It is important to understand that this is a simple, budget-friendly homestay, so you get what you pay for. The rooms are basic and currently do not include extras such as towels or toiletries. However, this was reflected in the price and did not take away from our overall experience.

Positive: Everything ! The room was just perfect ! Big bed comfortable, bathroom with hot water ! It was peaceful at night, first time since i arrived in Sumatra that I could sleep without earplugs. So appreciated ! On the terrace of my room I could see the lake in front of me, and the sunrise were just amazing to see. The breakfast was really big and good (only tried the banana pancakes). The owner and his staff were really lovely, and always here to give you an hand with anything. They provide laundry, scooter. Wifi worked really well all around the property. Hisar, the owner was waiting for me in front of the property when the boat came in, and he called them up when it was time for me to leave as well. Always happy to chat with you and tell you about the things there is to see and do in the island. If I come back I will definitely stay here again with my partner.

Positive: Hisar and his wife luster were so nice and accommodating. The rooms were clean and spacious and the wifi was great. Good location in tuktuk and they have motos to rent. Hisar will give you a map and a briefing of the best spots to see nearby. I was very sad to leave :(
