Summary: reception staff were very welcoming as well as efficient bar staff were good but sometimes unaware of clients needs outside on the patio breakfast staff were a little too efficient, but the breakfast was excellent basic room was very good all round and clean and the walk into Bowness quite easy entrance steps a little difficult for the elderly...no rail plenty of parking...but it should be free I would visit again

Summary: We were initially given room 118. Incredibly dark and dismal. Would have needed lights on at all times. Not a 5 star experience, however when requested we were moved to room 348 which was much better. We weren’t offered a glass of fizz on arrival which very obviously everyone else was. We didn’t use the jacuzzi at all due to the extremely hot weather. Not the fault of the hotel. Reception area, terrace and corridors are beautifully decorated. No air con which we were aware of before we arrived but is needed in a hotel of this calibre. Also no fridge!!!! I found this incredible in a 5 star hotel. It was so hot in the room. A cool drink was a must!! The £12 charge to park your car is a bit of a cheek we felt. We paid £591 for 2 nights with no breakfast. for A hot room with no fridge, granted the price was for the hot tub but as there was no air con in the room we didn’t even take the lid off! A bit expensive for just the decor. Would be lovely in the Winter. I imagine it would be cosy with the hot tub being a great facility. Spa was lovely

Summary: Very nice place in a great location near lake Windermere Room was clean and good size and comfy bed too Bathroom was very small and no room to unpack No real wardrobe either so longer stay would have been an issue I thought it was expensive for what we had. Communal areas are gorgeous but not one dustbin visible!! Parking was expensive at £12 per day Great Asian fusion restaurant was really tasty Towels were a bit hard tbh and pillows were a nightmare for me

Summary: It was exterior cosy room. Bedroom was small and we did not expect it would be this small. Bathroom was even smaller. I don’t think it was a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was good. Nothing special. It was close to the town and cruise. Onsite restaurant was nothing special.

Summary: My husband and I visited for a relaxing break for our 20th wedding anniversary. This delightful hotel and spa is set in beautiful surroundings, with every amenity you could possibly desire. The rooms are lovely and the staff are all helpful and friendly. The treatments we had from the clearly, very experienced and highly professional staff in the spa were wonderful and deeply relaxing, these ladies are amazing! The food was all lovely, with a good variety for all. We will be returning.
