Brantfield House is a large Victorian house set in mature gardens in a quiet location overlooking the village of Bowness and Lake Windermere. The apartment is on the first floor at the front of the house, with beautifully proportioned rooms offering spectacular views of the lake and surrounding fells.
The apartment is continually being updated. All rooms are well furnished, spacious, light and airy. The apartment sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, the master bedroom has a kingsize bed and the second bedroom has twin beds. Each room has plentiful storage and the twin room has a TV and dvd player.

The large lounge /dining room was recently redecorated and is comfortably furnished with leather settees and dining table set in the bay window. Summary: We loved our time here and wish we could have stayed longer! The apartment was walking distance into town.

Summary: Very comfortable 2 bedroomed property with great elevated views of the lake and fells. A short walk downhill into town but also a few steps away from the Dales Way and other good trails in the hillside behind. Parking for two cars which was great for two couples. Christine our host was very helpful and provided all the info we needed for an easy check in.

Summary: Perfect view of Lake Windermere, close to all the action and restaurants in Bowness, but surprisingly quiet and peaceful up on the hill. The apartment felt like home, and was obviously cared for by the owner. Clean, convenient, and comfortable. Would love to stay here again and would happily recommend it to others. Summary: Stayed here for the second time and found it to be a perfect base for bowness and the lakes.Great communication from Christine the host prior to our stay to make check in nice and easy.Apartment has all the facilities that you need for your stay, spotlessly clean and a great location.Please note there is a steep road up to the property but what fantastic views that then provides.Have already booked again for next year.

Summary: Absolutely wonderful house. Views are beautiful, we loved it. However I do feel it’s important to mention that this house is on a very steep hill so would not suit wheelchair users or people who can’t walk well. It doesn’t state it anywhere on the description.

Summary: Bedrooms and living room with a lot of space (we were 3 adults). The apartment is very calm (end of the road: no traffic) and has fantastic views from the dining table over the lake and mountains. Almost new bathroom, clean and very well working. Well equipped kitchen with all devices in good working conditions, only the frying pans are quite used up (coating)...We really enjoyed our stay and would come back for our next holidays in Lakeland.
