Positive: Very peaceful, set in the middle of a rubber plantation, opposite a cave with bats and short walk to the river which you can swim in. The river is controlled by the Dam, so during our stay it's low and wadeable, but at night they release water and it becomes fast flowing, high and not recommended to swim. This is old skool a frame huts which are cosy. If you're not into rustic it may not be for you. The very friendly family can organise a scooter and it's only 10mins to town on quiet roads. No restaurant there as such but they will make you some rice dishes if you don't want to venture out. Nicely lit up at night.

Negative: Being disturbed by the rubber tree farmer at 3am outside our hut, banging a hammer to carve a Groove out of the tree! But very authentic from that perspective too.

Positive: The staff was impressively attentive to my requests and others staying on the campsite. They were very kind, patient, and giving. We had a great time bamboo rafting and floating on the river with Tut. It was also great to just walk 1 minute to the river for a swim. There is a really cool cave just across the street with lots of bats living inside.

Negative: The mattress was very firm, but I got fine sleep.

Positive: It was in the middle of a forest and the ambience was very very tranquil and lovely. It's located right in front of a cave and there's a trail leading up to a view point that was just amazing. Be ready to bathe in mosquito repellent if you do this trail though. It's also does get quite narrow - not the best for young kids. Incense helps with keeping the mozzies at bay outside your tent as well. The lady taking care of the place is very sweet and kind. The mattress provided for two people was in between a queen and super single size, so if you're on the taller, larger side, it's best to book a tent that's large enough for 3 people. The bamboo tents are fine if you're okay cuddling through the night :)

Negative: I would appreciate better bathrooms but I understand it's in the middle of a forest and they did the best they could. At the very least, they were reasonably clean. I'm not sure what the possibility is for it to be cleaned regularly throughout the day. There was only one sink and it was in what looked like a private space so we weren't sure if we could use it. There are wall taps in the bathrooms though.

Summary: Very cosy, no frills, mattresses are firm, light and fan are provided within the "tent".

Positive: Very nice location in the middle of the forest, next to the river. The wooden tents are cozy, equipped with a fan and to my surprise there was no mosquitos inside. The bathroom is in another small building, all clean. The host organises different activities, such as bamboo rafting which was a great fun.

Negative: The host is a bit pushy about the activities, but generally want to help out in any way.
