Summary: We really enjoyed staying at Kagura White Horse Inn. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It's located almost right across the road from Kagura ski resort so extremely convenient with easy bus access. If we have a minor gripe (not the fault of the lodgings), it's that the only eating place for dinner was the nearby "roadside stop" about 10-15 minutes walk away. We could have taken a taxi into town but after a day's skiing, you're usually tired and usually want to dine somewhere close and convenient. That aside, we had a very pleasant experience staying at White Horse Inn.

Summary: the staffs are very friendly. we usually stay at the hotel twice a year, close to the Ropeway, which making things very easy... the boss lady is very attentive and managing the place well.

Summary: This is my second visit to Kagura White Horse Inn. I am very satisfied with this hostel: 1. Clean rooms with hot and stable water and heater 2. Great and quiet location - 5 mins walk to Kagura Ski Resort and bus station, 10 mins walk to onsen 3. Stable WiFi 4. Fantastic western buffet breakfast which is crucial for a long ski day 5. Friendly and helpful staff who know English. They replied to our Expedia messages instantly. They also help moving luggage’s and food in fridge for changing to different rooms with different booking 6. They offered discounted ski resort tickets and onsen tickets 7. They offered rental of snowboards and boots and staff will teach you how to use it However, they got no lift so you may need to carry your luggage yourself. Earliest check in time is 3pm which is late. The closest restaurant nearby needs a 10 mins walk and closed normally at 5:30pm.

Summary: I stayed for one night to try snowboarding the next morning for the first time, I was very surprised by how helpful and friendly the staff was and there is a public bath at a walkable distance. The hotel is charming and retro, established in the 1970s and it has very lovely details in the decoration to enjoy

Summary: There are not many shops or restaurants around but that is offset by the way access to mitsumata ropeway across the road. So be prepared and bring some food from Yuzawa if you travel by bus.

Summary: The inn itself is great! Very clean, cozy, comfortable and well designed with many little details. Quite spacious rooms and the rest area. Some vending machines are present. Kitchen is at the guests' disposal. Coin-op laundry, ping-pong table and piano are available. Staff provides great service. Breakfast is good and well worth it since there are few dining options in the area and no convenient stores. So bringing snacks along is a good idea. There is one good dinner option - a cafe in a store and an onsen nearby, but one day (out of three I spent there) they were both closed, so keep it in mind. During the day there are also trailers around Mitsumata ropeway that serve food, drinks and deserts. Beautiful snowy mountain views and spending time in the mountains, skiing/snowboarding is the best thing!

Summary: My family had a great vacation at this hotel. It’s kid-friendly, and the children had a wonderful time playing in the snow. The breakfast was excellent!

Summary: The hotel is located near the ski lift, which is very convenient. You can also rent your ski gear from the hotel. The continental breakfast is very good. However, the hotel is really outdated and dirty. The common areas were full of live and dead bugs, and the wifi was not accessible in the room. The room was clean though, but some bugs made their way to the room. There is only one restaurant in the town. It is a 12 minute walk from the hôtel and it closes early (6pm). Cash payment only. There is an onsen next to the restaurant, very nice.
