Positive: Friendly staff. Always very clean. Safe neighborhood. Special thanks for the impeccable daily housekeeping and the bottles of water provided every morning and evening.

Negative: On the first day, there’s a noticeable smell typical of an old building. It seems normal for San Francisco. After a couple of days, I barely noticed it anymore. For two people, the bed felt a bit small. Don’t expect anything very filling for breakfast — it’s quite basic. Fine for a light snack.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay, and every evening after a busy day we were happy to return to the hotel and relax.

Negative: We used to stay here 1-2 times a year but since it was acquired in 2011 it has not been the same. Not all, but some of the staff members are not very professional or at the very least helpful. Also, the room had a heater and a/c unit with a large corrugated hose out the window. It made the room either very cold or very hot and was so loud we could not have it on during sleep. Either that was the only room with it due to an issue with the HVAC, and we should have been told before going to up to it, or all the rooms are now like that, which is a good enough reason not to stay there

Summary: OK, but not to the level expected from how it present itself nor our past experiences

Positive: The staff was great, the location was just a couple of blocks from our show venue and convenient to many restaurants. The dining room was beautiful and the breakfast was better than expected.

Negative: NO parking, had to park our vehicle a couple of blocks away in a parking garage. However, this allowed us to discover many fun ways to get around including the driverless Waymo (which are everywhere and fast to pick you up) and the Muni.
