Positive: Hotel Majestic is charmingly decorated, has a very nice and helpful staff, provides a continental breakfast (something I never thought I'd see in San Francisco proper) and is conveniently located. It was no problem getting to Japan Town, Piers 41 and 39, the Caltrain station, and downtown shops using the nearby bus options.

Positive: Very convenient and comfortable! Spacious room and the vibe was super fun. Very close to Japan Town and great food.

Negative: There was not central HVAC, so temperature had to be maintained with windows., space heaters, and AC. Breakfast was sort of mediocre.

Positive: Lovely historic building. Super nice staff. Cool room and furnishings. Original artwork and fixtures/furnishings throughout. Great location. Walk to plenty. Will stay here again for sure.

Positive: This hotel oozes charm and character and it feels like you're going back in time. We loved it. Everything is in good condition and working and modern updates are still in character. The suite was huge. Big bedroom with 4 poster, bigger living area with 2 tables, chairs, sofa bed. Big bathroom has two sinks, shower/bath and a fridge. the bed was comfy (and so was the sofa bed according to daughter). Everything was spotless and we were given plenty of towels. Included breakfast had only a few options but it was sufficient and tasty and self serve, so you could fill up for a big day adventuring. Staff were lovely and helpful and let us leave our bags after check out.

Negative: No showstoppers: No kettle in the room so you have to go downstairs for hot water. Low hot water pressure.

Summary: Charming and quirky makes for lovely holiday memories.
