Summary: The Gabrielli, like all hotels in Venice I've stayed in is quaint and charming but for its rating may disappoint seasoned travellers who are used to the facilities of top hotels. This is the case everywhere in town though from what I've seen and the Gabrielli was very clean and comfortable without being spectacular. That said, the location is superb being both close to St Marks but far enough away, and the secret roof terrace is delightful, a peaceful haven in an otherwise crazy place.

Summary: The Gabrielli Sandwirth Hotel is a nice place to visit. I enjoyed the hotel, bar and dining facility. The only thing that I would approve would be to update the color scheme in the rooms and bar. Other than that it was a nice hotel with a very nice courtyard. The staff was great and accommodating. The food in the Dining room was good and the wait staff was nice. I would go back to this hotel again when I visit Venice again.

Summary: I enjoyed my stay at Gabrielli Sandwirth. The staff was friendly. They helped me with my bags, and directions to every great place around. The breakfast was DELICIOUS! I was disappointed to see so many negative reviews about their breakfast. But I was satisfied. There was fresh meats and cheese, fresh bread, yogurt, the most delicious juice and COFFEE!! The room was a decent size, and the bathroom was HUGE.

Summary: We had no bad experiences at this hotel. But, we went there expecting a 4 star hotel and so were very disappointed. The rooms are tiny and are far from relaxing or romantic. And don't expect any local tips from the concierge, he will only send you to the most generic of restaurants.

Summary: The room was like most in Venice, small. Had a great view and balcony on the waterfront. Very close to San Marco square and easy to get to.

Summary: We were there " off season" ( late Oct), which I would highly recommend. We asked for canal views and were amazed that we got it. The rooms were great, small but most European rooms are, the view was amazing. A great little courtyard. The breakfast was good, generous amounts of food available to choose from. We really enjoyed our experience there. Better than expected.

Summary: The positive part about the Gabrielli is that it is far enough from St Mark's Square to be quiet and restful, and its right by the Arsenale vaporetto stop. The bad news, is my room was smaller than a walk-in closet and had no view. It was however clean and had nice bedding and the furniture was to scale for the room. The shower had less pressure (& water) than an RV shower, and the bathroom was miniscule. The hotel wireless internet is expensive and for some reason could not communicate with my laptop. I never had this problem anywhere else on my 22 days in Italy. For the price this hotel was really a rip off.

Summary: This hotel is ideally located to explore Venice on foot or by vaperetto. It is easy to access by public transport. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had a small balcony and a view I will never forget, although it was noisy from early morning until the evening. The traditional furnishings and light fittings made of murano glass were not the usual thing that you find in a 4 star hotel, but were in keeping with this wonderful building and of traditional style rather than the mass produced all rooms look the same style. I will be recommending this hotel to others.

Summary: Fabulous staff, perfect service, and a super restaurant/food/service, especially dinner. Nothing was too much for them. Our first visit to Venice - both the hotel and location were brilliant. If you can get a room facing the sea, you'll also have the best view in Venice. Don't miss the roof garden view, breakfast in the courtyard and relax in the garden.
