Positive: The hotel has the most friendly and the best english speaking staff that I met during my stay in Taiwan. The hotel also provides free car shuttle to and from the metro station at any time on call, which is very handy since it is situated in the hills a bit above. I recommend choosing the room with mineral bath at the balcony.

Negative: The hotel is already a bit older and some of the furnishing might need renovation or replacement. In particular the bath plug was not working as it should so the bath could not be drained properly. Also the rooms dont have japanese toilets which I would expect as standard in a wellness hotel.

Positive: I am gluten intolerant. It would have been helpful to read labels with allergens to breakfast items. It required a bit of guesswork.

Negative: The tv remote did not work from our bed, even with replacement batteries. We contacted reception and they said all rooms were booked so a replacement remote wasn’t possible. An upgrade would be beneficial as the sink tap was not stable.
