Positive: It was located in quite a quaint quiet area of the Reed Flute Cave and connected to various short and easy cycling paths around the area and through the paddy fields. Host(Michelle) and her family were very friendly and helpful with our queries. Even stumbled upon a couple of tiny "museums" in the village, which was simple and easy to understand the area abit, although it wasn't particularly well maintained.1 We enjoyed our dinners at restaurants in the area (cycling/walking) even though we didn't particularly seek it out.

Negative: All was good, but it's also because we were looking for a quieter place, and not to see Guilin city's other sights.

Positive: We had an amazing stay at this hotel in Guilin. Mary, the owner, was incredibly kind and helpful, always going out of her way to make everything easy for us. She provided a scooter for free to get to the city center, gave us plenty of useful tips, and helped us organize excursions. She speaks excellent English, which made our trip in China so much easier. The breakfast had both European and Chinese options, and we also enjoyed two delicious dinners at the hotel’s restaurant. The whole team was warm and welcoming, and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Michelle and her team were absolutely amazing – they didn’t make me feel like just a guest, but more like a friend or even family. They were always patient, kind, and genuinely eager to help with anything. The food at the hotel was so delicious that I never even felt the need to eat outside. On top of that, they can arrange trips for you with a driver at very fair prices, which made exploring the area so easy and stress-free. My room had a stunning view, and the whole place is incredibly peaceful and quiet – perfect for rest and relaxation. To top it all off, the prices are very reasonable.
