Positive: Great location....loved the villages, lake etc nearby... and super help from Melody to organise tours and help etc. Nice place and v clean.

Negative: Western breakfast disappointing....more fruit, better bread etc needed. Also a nicer indoor restaurant in the evening. Food was good but we went to a nearby Inn with a better environment for dinner.

Positive: The location is best in Gullin, and you get anywhere inconvenient time. The room vibe is breathtaking, wallless surroundings with Guilin lovely natural. Hotels stuff very friendly, they are always there for you. I really recommend to explore Lakeside Resort. Thank you for the Lakeside stuff, you guys made us really have great memories in Guliln.

Positive: Very good staff, unique in terms of breakfast and how they try to connect to the visitors

Negative: I thought they had activities included in the hotel. Like drawing chinese, tea session or a massage. I think it was available, but it was not on par. They could for example have a seperate massage room, instead of giving it in your room.

Positive: Fantastic hotel and an amazing stay all round. The staff were so friendly and helpful, some have excellent English language skills, and others would make extraordinary effort using translation apps. The location on the lake is stunning, and the pick-up from the train station was extremely convenient.

Negative: The trees have grown since room photos were taken, obstructing the view of the lake and mountain somewhat. But then again, who doesn't love having trees right outside? This is such a minor gripe.

Positive: Qin and Melody are wonderful persons and extremely helpful, especially that we don't speak Chinese, taking the time to check with the air company when it appeared that there was some issue with the tickets until it was fixed, providing a very professional driver who took care of every details until checked in. The huge 2 rooms apartment with terrace over the lake is simply perfect!

Summary: Could not recommend more when you plan to visit the Guilin-Yangshuo region!

Positive: The staff at Guilin HeShe Lakeside Resort are beyond phenomenal. Melody and her team assisted my grandparents as if they were family. Besides the most amazing staff team, the surrounding views and scenery in this area is breathtaking, the rooms are just as seen on photos, and the room views are one of a kind. Melody and her team provided not only a place for my grandparents to stay, but a lasting memory of Guilin and the people you can potentially meet along your travels. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, don’t second guess, just book! You will not be disappointed! Thank you Guilin HeShe Lakeside Resort, my grandparents are so thankful for your hospitality.
