Positive: The surrounding was nice- quiet, by a lake. Rooms are spacious and neet. Staff is responsive and helpful

Negative: Location- 15 to 20 minutes taxi to city center. Our living room and two bedrooms where each on a separate floor Poor wifi access

Positive: Melody took care of us wholeheartedly. Our accommodation came with complimentary breakfast with Chinese and Western. The hostel is strategically located near Reed Flute cave just by 15 mins walk. The view is stunning with mountain and lake view. Will definitely come again if I visit Guilin!

Negative: Could have more breakfast options but other than that I had excellent stay!

Positive: We had a pleasant stay at The Reed Flute Retreat, we booked the Suite with a terrace for 3 nights, it had a beautiful view of fanglian pond and mountains. It's 5 mins walking distance from the Reed Flute Cave which is one of the scenic points at Guilin. It's 10 mins away from Guilin city, very easy to book the taxi from alipay or WeChat app. For breakfast they have only Chinese and Western options which are very much sufficient and we'll cook and serve. Melody is very helpful, speaks good English and very prompt I'm replying to all the queries. She even suggests the tours and helps to book. Please note this property has two resorts Heshe Lakeside Resort and Reed flute Retreat it's owned and manned by the same owner.

Negative: The suite had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of the bathrooms had a see throw glass door, for me the bathroom is a bit of a private space and the glass has to be frosted.
