The design and the the interior finishing of the highest standard - beautiful cottage few minutes from the high street - modern digital infrastructure and music system was first class and even a 2 person sauna ! The owners who messaged us throughout the stay to ensure all was well deserve the highest praise. We will return and we can highly recommend this property - thank you from all the family

Positive: Fig Cottage has the wow factor. It has a stunning modern interior, and is thoughtfully set out. There is a bench by the front door to sit down and put your boots on, with trays for shoes after a muddy walk. The OS map above the bench is great for planning trips. There is a well appointed kitchen (coffee machine, microwave, cooker, hob, toaster, dishwasher, fridge, wine fridge, decent set of knives) and utility room (freezer, washing machine), a generous dining table and a huge roomy sofa by the log fire. There are three bedrooms upstairs: the beds are so comfortable we meant to check the make of mattress and pillows, but forgot. My daughter left her ukele at home, and was thrilled to find one, albeit small , in the cottage. The sideboard under the stairs housed numerous games, and my son treated us to his music, which he streamed from his mobile to speakers in the ceiling. Still not sure how he did that. We were 5 adults, and didn't feel that we were crowded in the open plan space. We did not make use of the courtyard seating, sauna, table football, wine cellar, or extensive cooking facilities as our stay was short. We will be coming back to explore the area properly, and enjoy this luxurious cottage in the future. The host is lovely, and extremely helpful. Highly recommended.

Positive: Fig Cottage is a well appointed, comfortable house, perfect for lounging around at the end of a busy day. Comfortable bed, big sofa to sprawl out on, nice kitchen for my husband to cook in, clear instructions to boost the heating, use the sauna, sort out the recycling etc. It's a two minute walk from the market square, and one minute from Frank's bridge, the start of some lovely walks. What's not to like?

Negative: Couldn't think of anything.

Summary: Relaxing, comfortable four night break in a lovely house in a lovely setting.
