Positive: The hosts of the property left lots of items for breakfast, including freshly baked bread, half a dozen eggs, milk, orange juice, butter, homemade marmalade and raspberry jam. The hosts went above and beyond to help their visitors. Tea, coffee, cornflakes, etc. You want for nothing, Even fresh fruit, crisps, fudge and biscuits.

Negative: If I had to be a picky person, I would have preferred not to go downstairs in the middle of the night to the toilet, being a lady of a certain age. I cannot say that was a real problem, myself and husband coped.

Summary: Excellent accommodation and felt the the host really cared about us, would definitely stay again.

Positive: We absolutely loved how they catered for all our needs, even our beloved dog got the 5 star treatment. The property was clean, well maintained and renovated to a high standard. They hosts really had thought of everything.

Positive: The cottage has a great location in central Kirkby Steven but it was nice to be tucked back from the main road in the small courtyard. The house itself is really cosy and has everything you need. The shower is great and beds comfortable! We loved that on arrival we had been left some juice / eggs / yoghurt / preserves as it felt like a really thoughtful touch. The hosts communication before and during the stay was excellent and always extremely prompt!
