Positive: Lovely stay with Che, with a beautiful view on the lake (very nice waking up with it). A nice wind through the bamboo hut and a lot of animals (frogs,dogs, squirrels, birds) on the property

Positive: We had a fantastic stay at El Bamboo. The cabin was better than we imagined - it had everything we needed, was well laid out and very comfortable. Our hosts Che and Indira were welcoming and their communication was great. The location is perfect for all the things to do on Ometepe. Also, it's near a very good restaurant (Cafe Campestre). The WiFi speed was excellent. If you are looking for an "experience", rather than just a place to stay, I would highly recommend El Bamboo!

Positive: Host greeted us and gave us a little tour of the property. It was my birthday and they decorated to make it extra special!

Negative: Only thing that was a challenge was the ants in the kitchen - we didn't even bring any food (ended up eating out) but because of the location they were in the kitchen anyway. Something to think about if that bothers you.

Positive: The spacious cabins were well equipped, with good quality mosquito nets and a good hot shower. We loved the natural construction and garden space with hammocks to relax in. Che is incredibly attentive and helpful with advice and access instructions. It is perfectly located to go up Volcan Maderas, and eat at the fantastic restaurants nearby.

Positive: The location, the experience, the local community, the lake with the mango tree. The lady Indira was very nice and helped us to organize a quad excursion. The wifi worked well

Negative: Wrong period I guess. Too hot, it was not possible to sleep at night. Due to the open structure it was very noisy and you could not turn on the light when it’s dark because of hundreds of insects and geckos coming inside.

Summary: It was a cool experience, but two nights were more than enough.
