Positive: Junior was an excellent host and always made sure we had everything we needed. The cabin is very cute and we loved having the use of the kitchen for coffee and breakfast in the morning. It felt so nice to be amongst nature for our 4 nights stay on Ometepe.
Negative: Lots of mosquito bites even with the aid of the mosquito net, but alas that's definitely just a trade off of being in nature.

Positive: Junior and his wife are great hosts, very kind and accommodating. Junior is also a tour guide, we did the Maderas volcano together and I learned a lot about the local culture and nature! The cabin is really well designed and perfectly equipped. It is located within walking distance of shops and restaurants, which is very convenient.
Negative: Due to its location within the community of Balgue, it does get loud around the cabin, including at night. It helps to wear earplugs and remember that it is a part of the cabin's charm!

Positive: Total Immersion in the Ometepe Life style . Beautiful cabana , very exotic and island like . It has everything you need , comfortable bed , shower (cold, but no worries in Ometepe it s always hot ) and a little kitchen . The cabana is in the middle of a beautiful garden and close walking distance to great restaurants like Pital and Campestre my favorite . Junior the host is a wonderful and kind person . Will help you planning activities or calling taxies , getting things you need to make your stay enjoyable . Balgue is my favorite spot on the island , close to Madera entrance .

Positive: Junior was such an amazing host. He showed us around his beautifully crafted home. All small touches were really well thought out, with a lovely balcony where you feel within nature. Junior booked us a ped for the day and sorted us a guide for Maderas. Letting us keep our bags there and sorting a taxi out post hike.
Negative: Recommend some earplugs if you don’t like being woken up by the local animals. Only thing was the water stopped on some evenings and mornings. Luckily we had timed it right with showers however with the toilet this was a concern.
Summary: Reccomend staying here. Great stay thanks to junior

Positive: Had an amazing stay in Cabana el ojoche! We booked for 4 nights but extended it for a whole week. It was so nice to have our own appartment and garden. It was also super clean and they cleaned it during our stay as well. The location is perfect, near to everything you need and it also felt really safe. We also loved the privacy. Shoutout to Junior who was an amazing host. He helped us a lot with recomendations and went on some hikes with us. Would definetely recommend this cabana!

Positive: The cabin is very cute and private. Had all the equipment we needed to cook well and be comfortable. Junior is an amazing host and was able to help us out with all excursions. Really recommend doing a guided volcano hike in with him, we had a lot of fun and learnt a lot! Location is also great, near some excellent restaurants and free yoga

Positive: We loved the rustic feeling of the cabaña, which was airy with probably one of the most comfortable beds we had on our trip. The kitchen is simple but has everything you need to feel at home and be able to cook if you wish. There are places nearby to buy supplies if you do want to cook for yourself. And a comedor just across the road. The owners are lovely and very open to making suggestions. The garden is open and relaxing. There were kids and chickens nearby and not at all an issue for us. We walked a lot to see the lake and a nearby chocolate factory.
Negative: All was good for us. Very satisfied

Positive: We loved how welcoming the owners were, the location, and the design of the cabana. Junior was so helpful and kind, and made sure we had everything we needed. He organised a taxi to transport us back to the ferry after our stay, which made our trip so much easier! The design of the cabana is amazing, you’re right in the middle of nature but still have all the comforts you need. Very close to some great restaurants as well. Highly recommend!
