Positive: It's a lovely retreat in a unique setting, close to Santa Elana and the ruins of Uxmal, Kabah, Sayil, Labna and others. Great staff, great breakfasts included and very comfortable accommodations.

Positive: Everything! Located one mile from Santa Elena this hotel is a perfect and relaxing stay for a much needed trip to Uxmal Ruins. It really is eco friendly and solar powered. The grounds are stunning and what a luxury to wake up to such beauty. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with windows all the way around for a cross breeze. The staff are wonderful and accommodated my special dietary needs. I would highly recommend this experience if you’re planning a trip to Uxmal.

Positive: The hotel seems fairly new, with interesting room modules. I loved the hammock on the porch! Breakfast was good. Dinner is served there but the menu is quite limited. Because the hotel is "off the grid" there is no AC, and you can't use a hair dryer. Not a complaint, just be aware. The fan overhead was enough for sleeping. The grounds are very interesting, worth a walk around. We found it a pleasant alternative to staying in town. Very nice helpful staff.

Negative: the electricity and internet were unreliable, but it's off the grid so to be expected. We happened to be there during a big celebration in Santa Elena. Due to a trick of acoustics, we could hear the music playing until 4am. In the restaurant area it couldn't be heard. Normally it would be very quiet and peaceful.

Positive: Perfect location to go to Uxmal the next day. The complex is very big, with lots of rooms and lots of vegetation all around. Very nice breakfast :)

Negative: Staff at the reception was not particularly friendly. When we arrived, we were asked to pay way more than what they had told us in US dollars. When we told the lady to check the calculation, they did the change again and it was correct (but anyway they choose a conversion rate higher than the one we found on google that same day). They put as in a non-smoking area without asking us which area we preferred. Room was basic.
