Positive: Typical old ryokan with small outdoor pool.

Negative: Old and dirty. For this kind of quality the price was to high. The outdoor pool was very relaxing but dirty.

Positive: We enjoyed staying here. The owners were lovely and very helpful. They offered a shuttle to and from the train station. The resort is ideally located in the heart of Shibu Onsen and we had a room on the second floor with a window overlooking the path to the onsens. It was fun watching people walking to the different onsens. At times you could hear gentle clacking of their wooden shoes as they passed by. The room was spacious and had a bathroom with a toilet and the beds were comfortable. The onsens at the hotel were nice and it was great that the hotel had a private onsen. They also offer a key so you can visit the onsens in town and get stamps. The owner was kind enough to offer rides to see the snow monkeys.

Negative: Nothing! We will definitely return on our next trip.

Summary: Comfortable stay in the heart of Shibu Onsen with kind owners that are very accommodating.

Positive: It was calm and very traditional, exactly as we hoped. The staff was so precious and sweet we didn’t want to leave. We would definitely recommend. We got access to public onsens as well as a private one🌟

Summary: We only stayed one night but it left such a positive impression on us! Love it!

Positive: The owner is a lovely couple, they really try hard to make you experience the best time here in shibu onsen ! They even offer you to drive you to the monkey park ! It is possible to get breakfast (not dinner) directly in the room !
