You can choose to stay calmly inside and watch life as it goes by from the balcony or go downstairs and immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of the city by having some gourmet tapas and wine in the San Miguel market right next door.
The apartment is strategically situated; only a one minute walk from the impressive Plaza Mayor, 5 minutes away from the Royal Palace and another 5 minutes from the Puerta del Sol. Madrid has a great public transport system but from the apartment you can walk to almost all of the points of interest (Prado Museum, Thyssen Museum, the Retiro park, the Templo de Devod ..).

Summary: This super efficient apartment is ideal for 2-3 adults, and its location in the heart of Madrid is tremendous. The person who manages the property is very kind and responsive and made the the entire process very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this as an option for a stay in Madrid!

Summary: Andrea was a most welcoming host. Apartment was clean and well appointed. The location is fabulous. Near all of the action. We were able to walk to the Royal Palace, the Prado and Reina Sofia. Walking through the neighborhoods was most enjoyable. We booked during San Isidro so it was incredibly busy.

Summary: Andrea was such a pleasure to deal with. The apt is in a great location, walking distance to most of the Madrid must see attractions. We found it very clean with lots of little extras. I would only advise that ear plugs would come in handy if you are a light sleeper. The outdoor noise is fairly loud until about midnight. No hesitation in recommending this place.must see attractions.

Summary: The location of this apartment was perfect, right across from Mercado de San Miguel and just a couple minute walk away from Plaza Mayor. Andrea is a wonderful host, very prompt in communication and extremely helpful. The apartment is clean and efficient for our needs. The only downside to the wonderful location is that it can sometimes be a little noisy, but not a problem for us and an understandable tradeoff for a great proximity to nearby attractions. We would definitely stay here again!

Summary: My wife and I stayed for several days. The apartment is clean and efficiently designed. The neighborhood is active and vibrant with many restaurants and markets within easy walking distance. One our favorite restaurants was right across the street -- Restaurante Amicis. Federal Cafe, a small Madrid chain, which is to the left, down the hill on Calle del Conde de Miranda, had good tostada for a quick breakfast. There is also a supermarket on the ground floor of the building. Andrea was very friendly and helpful on check in and contacted us during the stay to make sure we had everything we needed. A great vacation!

Summary: Close to the public market and town square. Lots of food choices and and a market just steps away from the from door. Very flexible host who permitted us to check in early. Loved the Flamenco restaurant nearby as well. Late night activity at restaurants and bars nearby is a consideration for light sleepers.
