Positive: A beautifully appointed cottage, extremely comfortable, very warm and cosy inside. Great choice of outdoor area's to sit. Inside, plenty of room to sit and relax and also a lovely dining table with enough chairs for everyone (this isn't the case in some places!). Bedrooms were lovely, beds and pillows were very comfortable and views from a couple of the windows were lovely. It is superbly appointed with everything you could need to look after yourself, there is far more than I've seen in self catering cottages before. It really is fantastic, beautifully clean with amazing extra's like a bottle of Prosecco on arrival and many other extra's such as kitchen towel, toilet roll and anything you could think of needing in the kitchen (washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, dishcloth, tea towels etc.) was there, there was not an implement or thing you could think of that wasn't there, even a filled ice cube tray ready and waiting! It is in a nice quiet area but so quick and easy to walk down into Bowness, which is a lovely town, so it's position is fabulous. Parking was easy with it's own spaces and the added advantage of not having to pay for parking in Bowness! Some great restaurants around in town (Jintana Thai is fabulous and so is The Magic Roundabout). I can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay here, it was absolutely fabulous.
Negative: It took a while to spot the lock box for the keys (I knew it was there somewhere, just a little well hidden!). Mixed messages from Booking.com didn't help as it said to contact the mobile number a few days prior to arrival for the key code, which I did, but didn't get a reply. It turned out the key code was on my paperwork from Booking.com all along but it wasn't very clear that this is what it was. A couple of little bits like bulbs out in some of the ceiling lights but there was side lamps so it didn't really matter. I tried retuning the third level bedroom TV but still couldn't get it to receive a signal. Some of the remotes could do with new batteries. All very, very minor things (so I'd rather have had maybe a little form that I could have jotted it down on in the accommodation rather than write it here?!) considering the place is fantastic and don't really want to say anything negative!
Summary: Fantastic cottage in a brilliant location, 100% will stay here again.
