As you drive into the Devonshire Place neighborhood, part of the Bermuda Bay community, you may wonder if you took a wrong turn somewhere and have ended up on a Caribbean island. The vibrant hues of the homes and the pool in the community are bright and cheerful and create a fabulous first impression of your vacation home.
The cheery, yellow exterior will brighten both your day and your spirits! At your Outer Banks vacation home, you will enjoy a true rarity on the Outer Banks - your own private enclosed garage! In addition, your two story home boasts a fenced backyard, plenty of comfortable furnishings and many thoughtful touches.
As you enter through the front door, you will be immediately charmed by the unique, pastel-colored furnishings and decor. A spacious light-filled living area features seating for 4 and a big flat-screen TV. The floral-themed dining area features seating for 6. A fully equipped eat-in kitchen has everything you need to create anything from a simple noon-time snack to a full-course family meal. French doors lead to the fenced backyard and the green lawn behind.
In addition to the 2 bedrooms, you will find a bonus room with a bunk bed set which expands the sleeping capacity of the home. Several "nooks and crannies" provide a quiet moment for vacationers. The King En Suite has a spacious sitting area with two chairs, built-in bookshelves, and a flat screen TV. What a perfect spot for reading a few pages in your book or losing yourself in thought. The full En Suite bath provides a soaking tub and separate shower. The second private bedroom features a Queen bed. The second full bathroom is conveniently located in the hall.
The loft level is another of those perfect spots to escape and enjoy some relaxation. Furnished with a futon, two chairs and TV, you may just find this is your favorite spot in the house!
Every member of the family can find something to enjoy here! The Bermuda Bay community is widely known for enjoying sunset viewing and quiet vacationing. The exclusive amenities available to you as a guest of this wonderful resort include a lazy river, sparkling pools, a fun splash pad with various water features lots of fun toys, and plenty of sun loungers for relaxing. The Elbow Beach Clubhouse includes a fitness center, lounge area, pool table, and a full bathroom for guest use. The clubhouse and fitness center are open year-round from 7:00am to 9:00pm. The Bay has a pier perfect for fishing, launching kayaks, or just enjoying the view.
If you're longing to feel the sand in your toes and simply must visit the beach, it's a very convenient 1 mile drive from the Bermuda Bay communities to the beautiful Kill Devil Hills beaches.

Summary: I like to start by sharing that prior to booking at Carabelle's Fish House I did not check on any reviews because it was a last minute trip and were afraid we would miss this property as it was one of the very few available. Later it down on me I didn't read any reviews. After I did I was very scared of coming here with my family to be disappointed and not enjoying our stay because all that I read on reviews was negative. I'm glad we took the risk. Our stay was pleasant, the property is just as described. You get what you pay for. It was clean and in good conditions, communication was great, easy access to the house, very quiet neighborhood. It had what we needed for the few days we were staying. We brought all our personal essentials and that was all was needed to compliment the stay. The only one observation is that they have not invested in improving their backyard, we did not use it but it didn't look inviting. I would recommend this place if you are not a high maintenance type of person and enjoy simplicity.

Summary: This was a nice little place to stay for a few nights. Beds were comfortable and the master suite was really nice. The kids really enjoyed the loft for playing and watching TV. The kitchen was stocked with sufficient dishes and cooking supplies but nothing else. This was an easy drive to the closest beach access which was just about 5 min away. It was also nice staying in a community with pool access! Overall a great stay!

Summary: Great location to beach and Wright Memorial, only a few miles away from Jockey Ridge. Neighborhood felt very safe. Beds were very comfortable. Den area could use more comfortable seating. I'd stay here again and recommend to anyone.

Summary: The house was lovely, however I would like to suggest that the outdoor furniture be cleaned up or replaced and utensils for the grill, there was nothing to grill with.
