Positive: As a group of six hikers doing the Theth to Valbone, we had the most incredible stay at Buni Shqipes ❤️ If you’re looking for a heartfelt, authentic guesthouse experience in a perfect location then this is the one. Maria, Antonio and their family showed us the most wonderful hospitality, ensuring we had everything we needed, cooking us the most amazing food and even playing volleyball with us! Our dinner was the most incredible Albanian feast (soup, fried potatoes, bbq meat, salads, grilled vegetables, cheeses, dips, fresh bread, watermelon - so much food we couldn’t even finish it), Albanian doughnuts, coffee, fresh milk and cheeses for breakfast and they even gave us bread, eggs and vegetables to make sandwiches for our hike the next day. The love and care they showed us was second to none. We can’t stress this enough, Buni Shqipes was the highlight of our time in Albania and you should absolutely stay there if you have the chance. Seriously, book it right now!
Negative: Nothing. Had we known how amazing it would be, we would have stayed another night 🫶🏼

Positive: Extremely helpful and friendly staff that went out of their way to pick us up at the main buss stop and guide us around this beautiful area.
Negative: Like most accommodations in Theth, it would be hard to find without phoning them. The village is more spread-out than we expected!

Positive: Awesome location, close to all of the highlights. Nice to have a fridge. No AC, it didn’t bother us because it was early June but it would be an issue in later summer months. Hosts very warm and welcoming.
Negative: It’s a great spot! We would stay again. Breakfast could use a little more variety if you don’t like hard boiled eggs or warm milk you’re a little limited in choices

Positive: Good breakfast and dinner. Dinner was quite simple, yet better than at nearby hotel. The hosts are lovely and when you in luck, you get a welcome shot even arriving early in the day. The room was basic but met all needs.
Negative: This place is indeed hard to find as google maps sends you around without getting exactly there. A local helped and then it was easy.

Positive: Amazing stay! Everything was spotless and the view was stunning. Breakfast and dinner were homemade, delicious, and very traditional. The hosts were kind, always helpful, and shared interesting stories about Theth. The rooms were very clean and warm inside. The garden is big, with beautiful green grass perfect for relaxing or camping, and at night the sky is crystal clear full of stars. The place is very near the main locations you want to visit like “The Tower of Ngujm” and the “Gruna Waterfall”, also the cute church is like 3 minutes away by foot. They even have games for guests. Truly a 10/10 experience – highly recommended!
Negative: There isn’t something we didn’t like.
Summary: For a traditional experience this is the place for you!

Positive: This is a gem with the two ladies hostesses that went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We got a one bedroom apartment that was clean and has a balcony. Everything was so great. We ate dinner that was made fresh and was delicious. I must say that google maps instructions are wrong. You should drive to the right after the church and not continue straight. The location is superb, the last house on the street makes it serene and close to the start of the path to the waterfall.
Negative: Its not a real issue but would be better to have a barrier between the shower and the toilet.
