Positive: our stay at Bujtina Izet Selimaj was very very nice - the rooms were clean and very cosy, we had all the equipment needed and were regularly asked if we need something, it was warm inside the house all the time, water for showering was hot, beds were very comfy, we had very nice view from the rooms on the mountains, the family that runs the guesthouse is very friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was delicious, one of us was eating it every morning in the restaurant while the other two mostly took lunch boxes to go hiking (nice packages every time), the guest house is in a way in the middle of the valley (which is quite long), it is a very practical departure point for hiking, we also had one dinner in the restaurant, the prices are very correct and the food is nice, everything feels very like at home, we were very happy with our choice of stay in the Valbona valley

Negative: shower curtains in the bathroom would be a useful feature

Positive: Beautiful guest house in the valley between the mountains, staff are helpful and kind, room was clean and the food was good! Nice and quiet outside terrace and over all great value for money!

Positive: It is an amazing location with a friendly host. The small boss speaks fluent english and was very sweet. I would recommend this host Breakfast was too filling and had a lot of variety

Negative: We wanted to taste their food but unfortunately their restaurant were closed as we travelled during off-peak season. However, we could find one nearby.

Positive: The location of the place was great. It was a nearby hiking area and it is accessible to walk to all sorts of hiking locations. There's a boy there and he has a fluent English so it helps a lot to ask questions etc

Negative: I think we are going at the wrong season it would be helpful if we had been informed earlier by the owner about what is accessible and what is not. So me and my friend sort of stuck there, but it was a fun experience ngl.

Positive: Very nice and friendly family. The rooms are in the first floor of their house and on the evening the heawas on, very convenientin October. The food was very good. They have a lovely garden with many flowers. The restaurant is also the meeting point of the locals and they had a warming fire place, really pleasant

Positive: Great guesthouse, beautiful views from the rooms, private bathroom was great and there was a little restaurant that served reasonable food. The breakfast was very filling. We only interacted with the younger sons of the people who ran it but they were very sweet and spoke reasonable English which was helpful.

Positive: The young host was friendly and helpful and the beds were comfortable. It was between the trailheads to the two hikes we wanted to do, and the breakfasts were delicious (we had both versions).

Negative: There was no place to put things in the room(ie no hook for wet towels, shelf or bedside table to put things, nothing but two beds and two chairs). On both mornings the toilet would not flush… but then suddenly did, and our room and the restaurant washroom were a little dirty and older. We heard the dinners were yummy, and good portion sizes from other guests, but only had a salad ourselves (which was yummy).

Summary: Sweet young host and good value for your money, I’d stay again.
