Positive: Within easy reach of Bakewell. Had numerous footpaths to walk our dog.

Negative: Other guests let their dogs defecate just outside the door to our cottage and over the parking area as well.

Summary: Comfortable and clean with ample hot water.

Negative: Unfortunately our visit coincided with muck spreading on the farm so the smell was overwhelming.

Positive: Lovely area, well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Nice tv. Comfortable beds. Lots of on-site free parking.

Negative: Very cold in the property even with the heating on (aware it is an old building and we visited in November). Toilet flush was temperamental and bath tap wouldn’t turn off fully after use.

Summary: Basic cottage farm stay, great location for Bakewell.

Positive: Lovely location up above Bakewell and only a 15 minute walk to the centre. Other short walks across to Lathkilldale, Lower Haddon and Youlgreave.
