Positive: Beds were comfortable Breakfast was good but chaotic Dinner in the restaurant was generally good value The Palace Cinema is very conveniently located and offers a discount on food in the hotel bar

Negative: Room was very dated and in need of refurbishment Bathroom shower was poor without any real controls, luckily the water wasn’t excessively hot General appearance of the hotel is shabby and not particularly inviting Most importantly, room cleaning was only done every three days. This is inadequate.

Positive: Good central location for all of Douglas on foot and for the trains and trams. Large car park is a real bonus as parking an issue elsewhere. We used the bar - good choices and staff - but did not eat in either restaurant so can’t comment on food.

Negative: It is VERY tired. Decor, carpets and furniture have all seen better days. Water pressure also not great. Thankfully we had a sea view as overlooking the car park must be depressing.

Summary: Reasonable but needs a refurb.

Positive: The spa enjoyed. The sea view great and room spacious however decor in general very tired. We liked the restaurant and bar. Staff excellent as was the food.

Positive: Central location and close to the ferry terminal ,breakfast selection fresh and plenty of choice all staff including cleaning ladies where fantastic and friendly

Negative: Slightly worn carpet in the hall ways but not a problem and stairwell bit rough paint wise

Positive: The location was perfect. Rooms were clean with everything accessible. Housekeeping was excellent, provided you with anything that was required. Pool, jacuzzi, and steam room for both adults and children was perfect as the weather was a little unpredictable.

Negative: The reception area needs updating as it gives a false impression of what the hotel is really like.

Positive: proom clean view fantastic breakfast was horrible bacon ugh but roast dinner lovely.

Negative: only one sugestion balcony could do with a clean and paint rails plus a few pots of flowers
