Positive: The location of the Hotel was perfect , near to the front and to the centre of Douglas. The rooms were fine and the breakfasts were excellent attended by lovely staff.

Negative: Lots of stairs at the end of a day.

Summary: Exactly what we wanted and were expecting.

Positive: The staff especially Dora were excellent. Dora did everything she could to make our stay pleasant.

Negative: The property is a very large town house based private hotel. Unfortunately we were given the small attic room at the top of the property. There was no lift and to get to our room we had to climb 61 steep steps an negotiate 3 small tight landings. My wife and I are in our late 70s and as you can imagine caused us both great distress. On leaving the room for breakfast on the ground floor at 8.30am we had to ensure we had everything we needed for the day as it took us almost 10 minutes to get back up to our room. Despite asking Dora everyday for a lower level there was no room. We even looked for another hotel but as there was a motorcycle event in the Isle of Man there were no vacancies anywhere. There was no mention on the Booking.com site about the number of stairs and no lift and I do think this is very important for anyone disabled or old to be aware of. Our room was a basic small attic with a 3 feet square window - nothing like when in the photos on your site.

Summary: Very disappointed even the thought of climbing the stairs had a very bad effect on our stay.

Positive: The breakfast although freshly made but self served was exceptionally delicious. The sausages were very tasty. Dora and Tony were lovely and very attentive to our needs. Dora gave us Room 1 which was the least stairs, which are a worry because of our mobility issues. On our arrival she was there to greet us and help us with our bags. She was also able to offer advice with street parking which was invaluable. The location of the hotel was perfect for us touring the Island but being close enough to amenities. The Room was small, so couldn't house a chair but had everything we needed. There was use of a lounge on the next half landing which was nice. The lamps with charger plugs were very ingenious as was the kettle stand. As soon as we left the room the bed and cups, toilet paper, bins etc were straightened, changed, checked etc which was very refreshing. The decor in the hotel and room is opulent and delightful. We couldn't have asked for a better host or accomodation for our stay. I would certainly recommend.

Negative: No biscuits in the room which would've been nice and maybe hot chocolate. ;p

Summary: A perfect resting place with a wonderful breakfast to start the day.

Positive: Dora, the owner cannot do enough for you, she really cares about her guests. Breakfast is good and the location is excellent.

Negative: Nothing can be done about it but the stairs are steep and there are lots of them. Dora, however, did take my, very heavy, case up for me.

Positive: We had a wonderful stay! Our host was so lovely and so accommodating. The location was great for accessing everywhere, very near the prom and overlooked the park. Our room was very clean, comfortable and very well equipped. It even had a sea view. The residents lounge was also a lovely extra touch. Our host was so helpful and welcoming. She has obviously poured a lot of love and thought into the place. Our breakfasts were delicious. We will certainly be returning very soon!
