Positive: A true 5 star experience. The service level on 5 star hotels in Vietnam are, from our experience the last 3 weeks, very good. But Banyan is extraordinary. I mean in every single part of your interaction with the crew on this resort. Dont remember all the names, but we got a very nice, careful and personal follow up from Tuan, and I got an excellent massage from Chi at the spa. We were there with a 6 month old baby for 4 nights. We really got the most out of our stay. We joined activities like yoga, HIIT and table tennis. We used the 24/7 gym with cooled towels. We took several spa treatments, tried all restaurants including in villa dining, baby sitting service and more. Everything was great. Even the italian food at Azura was at a quality level way beyond what I would expect to get at Vietnamese resort. All in all it felt like we got an extreme amount of value, and would very much recommend this place to anyone.

Positive: Excellent service, even if we travel a lot the best experience we ever had! Wonderful retreat which gives you the feeling to fully relax and escape the reality. Special thanks to the wonderful, well organised and really friendly staff. The staff collaborated well with each other. All wishes were fulfilled and even more. I never experienced something like this experience and it’s difficult to find something like this place somewhere else! Special thanks to Jennie and Man for the pleasant stay and wonderful service. Unfortunately I forgot the names of the other staff but everyone was so kind. The meditation classes leaded by the wonderful meditation teacher were also unbelievable. The pictures of the resort doesn’t match the reality it is much better!

Positive: Loved the little oasis in Lang co. Staff was excellent and very friendly from villa host to the garden and housekeeping team Food was delicious Activities were fun

Negative: The main con for me was actually the spa. We were so excited for our spa day and spent a lot of money to get pampered with a massage and scrub. The scrub was fun and different for us. I’ve never had a Balinese massage but the brochure had said medium to strong, I asked my lady twice for stronger pressure and nothing changed. It also felt like she was going through the motions vs focusing on areas I had highlighted. I was really disappointed to spend that much for our massages and not feel relaxed or knots worked out. It’s a bit far from other locales and destinations you might want to see which can be a pro unless you’re using it as a launching base.

Positive: We stayed in a lagoon villa, and it was beautiful. The bed was huge and comfy, the shower really nice and the huge soaking bathtub was perfect after a long day. The staff were great and all really friendly, and the complex itself is in a beautiful setting - it's only small so easy to walk around and the grounds are perfectly maintained. The hotel offers day trips in the area, and our guide (Hung) who took us to Hue, was absolutely brilliant. It was one of our favourite days of our entire month in South East Asia (even in the rain!). Quality of food in Saffron was incredible.

Negative: We stayed during the typhoon, so weren't able to use our pool or outdoor area, so would have loved some seating in the villa itself (but this isn't the hotel's fault, obviously). Whilst there are three dining options, the menus are a bit limited. We stayed for 6 nights and by the end were running out of new things to try.
