Positive: This is a boutique hotel with only 5 rooms. We were the only guests there at the time of our stay, and had booked it for our final night before we flew home the next day. The room was lovely and large, beautifully clean and with all the facilities you could want. Same with the bathroom. We spent the time relaxing in the pool and on the sun loungers, which is exactly what we had wanted prior to flying. The hotel allowed us to do late checkout until we needed to leave for the airport, which was 8pm! And charged a very reasonable price for it. This meant we could use the facilities for the whole day. The hotel was a half hour drive from the airport. The onsite restaurant was amazing, we had breakfast included but ate lunch and dinner there too - the chef was so good and we could choose what we wanted from a varied menu. There was access to the beach from the hotel, but the sea is not safe to swim in, and there is no shade. We had a little walk on the beach and watched a beautiful sunset from there, but otherwise stayed in the hotel. The hotel has a spa with very reasonable prices for treatments, but we didn't have any as we'd had some a couple of days previously. We wanted some R&R before we left Sri Lanka, and this place was perfect for that. We felt very looked after.

Positive: Right on the beach. The food was prepared fresh every day. The rooms were air conditioned and comfortable.

Negative: The electrify cut off twice during my stay including overnight and the ac didn’t work so it was hard to sleep.

Positive: Beautiful & tranquil location Rooms were well equipped with large patio Nice pool with loungers Lovely beach but unable to swim due to current but great to walk along and watch all the crabs rushing to the sea Food is very nice Staff are very polite and friendly

Negative: Food offering is mainly seafood & we had exactly the same menu two nights running, not ideal when there are only 3or 4 choices mostly seafood ( which I don’t eat ) Negombo is about 25 mins drive away

Positive: The Ayuda Sanctuary met our needs fully. We arrived at 3:30 in the morning what wasn't a problem and we were so happy that somebody was waiting there for us with a glass of cold orange juice :) The staff is kind and very polite, high guarantee amazing service. Room was beautiful and clean, we had everything we needed and more. About the food I could write a book! It was made fresh for us everyday from beautiful ingredients. The fact we are vegan wasn't a problem at all. We had choice from short menu and we choose the time of breakfast and dinner. Last night our dinner was served at the beach with music and very romantic atmosphere.Thank you Hiroshima! Beautiful surprise! Huge respect for the chef and all the team. We treated ourselves with the full body massage, I will say that everyone should try it. I have no idea what was the warm oil blend but it was a feat for skin and sense of smell. If there will a possibility we will come back and we very much recommend it.

Positive: The courtesy and eagerness-to-help of staff especially the girl at reception and the guy in kitchen (? Pathum), the layout, the concept, overall maintainance, ambience, the vibe, the food, the amenities....almost everything. They also diligently listened to feedback and promised improvement. Highly recommended. I had initially booked for one day but extended by a day. You all shall come here.

Negative: 1. The housekeeping was less earnest, on second day I had given the keys for room cleaning and maintenance but in the evening I found that the bins had not been emptied , the towels were not replaced, the toiletries were never replenished. Upon raising the issue there was promt response but housekeeping staff seemed less inclined and worked half heartedly. This minor hiccup appeared eminent because rest of it was almost perfect. 2. The seatings were rather low 3. Quilts are heavy and air conditioning not robust enough to let you sleep in. I had to lie on top of the quilt to sleep. 4. Location is a little far from center and airport but the facility more than makes up for this.

Positive: An absolutely amazing stay! The staff were genuinely kind and fulfilled every wish we had. A special highlight was the chef – the food was Michelin-level, every dish was a masterpiece. The rooms were truly excellent: stylish, very clean, and made us feel completely at home. We were even treated to a romantic dinner on the beach – simply unforgettable.
