Positive: The apartment was spacious for our family of 5. It was conveniently located in a busy tourist area with many shops and restaurants.

Negative: As other reviewers note, the entrance to the apartment is through a rundown shopping mall. There was a very strong smell of nail polish when entering/exiting the mall.

Positive: Incredible value for money in a very central location. Clear instructions to access apartment with electronic password lock. Good wifi. Escalators to access the apartment was a huge bonus. Apartment clean and modern. Up high so street noise was not a big problem despite being surrounded by restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

Negative: Unusual location to enter the apartment via a commercial mini-mall that is, despite being in the city centre, run-down looking. This main entrance closes after 10pm and thus returning requires a side-entrance through a separate dark and malodorous alleyway. Honestly not a problem for us as experienced budget travellers, it just takes a bit of getting used to. May not appeal to people looking for the outward appearances/amenities of a hotel, or a 100% luxury stay.

Positive: The apartment is in the city centre, which was great as we came to join the Brussels Pride, lots of cafes and restaurants around, and within walking distance to the main attractions. Our hosts brought us the requested blanket and additional pillow. Easy check-in without seeing anybody, good instructions on how to get to the apartment.

Negative: First of all, when you stay in a Deluxe Studio with a terrace, you expect some space and furniture on the terrace, so you can spend time there. The apartment is super small, it was hard to be there with another person, as we were always super close and could not have privacy. The terrace is empty, although it is the only nice place in the apartment (better say "room", as that is what the apartment is). Second, the apartment is far from functional; it looks very cheap and not comfortable enough to be called Deluxe (furniture that looks and feels cheap, no hooks in the bathroom except for a single plastic one, a kettle that is barely holding on). And third point, that might be important for somebody: the light gets through the curtains, so if you are sensitive to light, there are no blackout curtains there (it is just a general downside, not critical). Besides that, to get to the apartment, you need to go through a gallery with a lot of nail salons, which was not pleasant, as it had a strong chemical smell there. We tried to always choose the shortest way outside, to avoid smelling that. Advice for the owners: buy some terrace furniture and make the space usable. A sun umbrella, some chairs, and an outside table would make the terrace the place to spend mornings and evenings, before and after exploring the city.

Summary: If you just need a place in the city centre, it's fine, but definitaly not a "deluxe" stay.
