Positive: Absolutely amazing accommodation - clean and very nice rooms, very friendly host, perfect food, and one of the best mountain views we have seen. Value for money is also great, however, for Balkan standards, a bit higher priced.

Positive: The food was good, and the personnel very friendly.

Negative: One big downside that is good to know before booking: When we arrived they already made us dinner and got offered a coffee. When we paid in the morning, we saw that they added 80 euro (on top of the 90 euro room) for dinner, lunch and two coffees. We were slightly shocked to see dinner was 30 euro a person, a coffee 3 and lunch 7, so all double or triple normal Albanian prices (around the POB). They also don't communicate this beforehand.

Positive: This is a new and very smart guest house. It may be a bit more expensive than some, but it is of true Alpine quality, fit even for Switzerland perhaps! The owner was incredibly helpful and obliging, for instance he gave me an old 1.5 L coke bottle for free so that I could carry more water the next day. He filled it with very cold water he kept his fridge. No charge for anything. If you are staying here and coming from Valbone, do not miss the sign off to the left of the path a little way before you reach Cerem. This cuts a fair amount of descent and distance off your journey. Also, in the morning you can cut across to join the trail on to Doberdol. So all in all, the location is fantastic, not to mention the views from the rooms and restaurant. (I missed the turn off from the path to the guest house - I was very tired and it was entirely my fault!!)

Positive: Incredible helpful hostess who cooked us great meals. The beds were extremely comfortable which after a tough stage on the PoB was more than welcome. Although it looks a little of the normal route, it is not. Great access to the next stage with an alternative route.

Negative: There was too much tasty food on offer.

Positive: very nice and comfortable room with everything you need, great dinner and breakfast.

Negative: unfortunately there was no hot water. the heating neither worked very well because there was an electricity shortage. but when you pay so much money for your stay, you expect the basics would work, e.g. they could have used a back-up power supply or something. also there was a bunch of beetles in the room

Positive: Zeneli Alpin Chalet surpassed all our expectations. The accommodations, staff, food and the view (the VIEW!) were all excellent. We would highly recommend to others traveling to the area and/or others hiking Peaks of the Balkans who are looking for an elevated lodging experience.
