Negative: the private bathroom is seperated from the bedroom via the commen space, room next to a pedestrian alley so sometimes some noise.

Positive: I really like it keeps the old building structure with the authentic wooden windows, it makes the indoor lots of natural light.

Negative: The wall paint is peeling off and there are quite a lot of white flakes and pieces of paint on the floor.

Positive: It is a super authentic space! It has been a wonderful experience. The attention of 10 from before arriving, until the day I left, asking every day if I needed anything. The first day they came personally to welcome me and tell me everything, as they also send you the tips of the area, super recommended. I will definitely repeat anytime!

Positive: The staff showed great hospitality to us, and responded our messages really quickly. Nice location in George Town.

Negative: The soundproof is a bit off especially you can hear others walking down the aisle outside your room. There’re some minor flaws regarding the amenities but the staff repaired them very quick.

Positive: The staff is great! The building is very cool, and it's a really unique experience to stay in a place like this. If you're into cultural experiences that are a little outside the norm, you'll love it! I had the whole building (!) to myself for 2/3 nights. That said, it is a bit outside the experience you might expect from a more modern and traditional hotel, so it's important to know what you're signing up for.

Negative: This is no doubt true for *any* of the stays at these historical hotels in George Town, but you should know before you book one of them (including this one) that the nature of this type of building means that 1) There are wide open spaces and as such the Air Conditioning is limited in its effectiveness. The air blows between rooms due to open gaps, so it's hard to keep the cold contained, and it does get warm. Also, because it's an old building, sound echoes a lot. You'll hear the conversations of everyone else in the space, the steps, etc. and as such privacy is a bit limited. All that was fine for me, and I had a really cool experience! But I do think it's important that you know this ahead of your booking, because some people might be seeking a more traditional experience and be disappointed.

Summary: Unique and Historical Stay! You'll Enjoy it... As Long As You Know What You're Booking First.

Positive: The accommodation was designed beautifully, having been converted from an old English mansion. The staff was always attentive and asking if everything was okay. The complimentary breads they provided for the breakfast was very tasty and the shared bathroom was very spacious and comfortable.

Negative: First day of my 2 day stay, there was a sewage smell covering the whole premises (it was fixed the second day). The room I stayed in was separated from the next room with a very tall wall, but wasn't completely covered. I could hear all the chats of the family next room.
