Tucked away down a country lane in the heart of Broadland, and enjoying glorious views across open fields, a range of handsome barns has been tastefully converted to create the attractive cluster of cottages we offer here. Some nestle under their traditional Norfolk thatch, all are very comfortably appointed and each enjoys its own individual patio. From the cottages, a gentle and tranquil rural landscape dotted with ancient churches, wind pumps and nature reserves, among a myriad other delights all under vast, arching East Anglian skies, offers a wealth of opportunity for enjoying walking, cycling and bird watching. Nearby How Hill nature reserve, with its marsh meadows, dykes, woodland and open water, is well worth exploring and the wider surrounding area supports a host of attractions. Riverside pubs and cafés are plentiful and a number of Broadland centres offer bike hire or canoe hire (possibly the most delightful way to discover the lovely reed lined waterways and their abundant wildlife) and visitors can also hire boats at nearby Potter Heigham, 4 miles, or take a pleasure cruise from bustling Wroxham – the capital of the Broads and home to the ‘world’s largest village store’ as well as the train station for the Bure Valley narrow gauge steam railway. Close by, BeWILDerwood, a magical tree top park, promises children a day to remember, and lovely dune backed sandy beaches are a short drive – Sea Palling lies just 6 miles away. For lively family fun, visitors need look no further than Great Yarmouth and its famous pleasure beach, or Pleasurewood Hills theme park, whilst Cromer also offers traditional seaside entertainments including a renowned end of pier show. Bygone museums, craft centres and Blickling Hall (National Trust) are all within an easy drive, as is the medieval city of Norwich with its magnificent cathedral, castle, galleries, museums, cinemas, theatres and excellent shopping. A little further afield on the north Norfolk coast, seal watching boat trips can be found at picturesque fishing villages, many of which also boast pubs and restaurants serving superb, locally caught seafood. Coarse fishing is available on the lake opposite the properties just 400 yards away, and the pretty village of Ludham, 1 mile, boasts two pubs and a good range of shops.. All properties: Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair. Patio with garden furniture. Fishing on-site, 400 yards. Parking. No smoking.

Summary: The whole week was wonderful. The cottage was spotless, comfy, a great location not far from some lovely spots such as Potter Heigham, Norwich, Some lovely local walks. The pub at Ludham was great for food. The lady who owned it obviously cared a great deal and put their heart and sole into it. Summary: We had a fabulous week in Norfolk at the end of August and Bay was a great base. The added advantage of having a garden for the dogs was brilliant. It would’ve been even better if the two gaps had gates but we improvised with some garden trellis purchased from Roy’s of Wroxham Garden Centre. It’s a great location for Sea Palling and Waxham. We saw hundreds of seals at Waxham. It was really incredible. Nearby How Hill became a favourite place to walk the dogs. Everytime we went we went somewhere different. It was brilliant. If the weather had been kinder a picnic on How Hill would’ve been brilliant. Maybe next time. There is a campsite across the path but we didn’t find this a problem. In fact it was quite the opposite as our 11 year old son made some friends and when we were at the cottage he was out and about exploring with his new found friends. He had a great time. We hope to return one day. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Summary: We went here as a family of 6 adults and our dog, we had such a wonderful time and Sharon and husband were just at the end of phone if needed, it was nearby to all of Norfolk via car and everything you needed was in the barn. Would not hesitate to book again Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Summary: Very nice set of cottages. Lots of parking. Well kept outside space. Kitchen very well equipped. One of the best “dog friendly” cottages we have stayed in! No smell of “dog” which was great. Stair gate. Lovely to have use of a private Hot Tub. Close to the Broads and A Road to all the fantastic Beaches North and South. Only down side was the lack of privacy as garden and windows were overlooked by the Caravan site, could be a problem in Summer. Also no gates on the garden area. Would recommend and return.

Summary: Bay had everything we needed for a comfortable and quiet stay in the countryside with our dog. The owner let us charge our hybrid electric car on the adjacent campsite (he supplied an adapter) but is planning to get electric car charging points installed. Accommodation was well equipped and hot tub was a nice addition to the facilities. Plenty of showers(3), toilets (3) and a bath and wifi was excellent throughout the accommodation. Beds were a bit soft for us as we prefer quite hard beds but its a matter of personal taste. Bay is only a few minutes drive from Hickling broad, and potter Heigham, and only 15 mins from the lovely Sandy beaches of the Norfolk coast. Overall a very pleasant stay in very nice accommodation.

Summary: We spent a week at Bay before Easter. Beautifully thought out accommodation, clean and welcoming. We fished, we walked, the children explored, and the hot tub on a clear starry night was amazing. Very relaxing place, so much so we're going again!
