Positive: Staying here was amazing. The room is clean and just like advertised. The best thing about the hotel has to be how helpful Carol (one of the ladies who runs the hotel) is. She speaks great English and she helped us a great deal with booking drivers, organising our days in the park and finding alternatives in case of bad weather. She gave us great tips about lesser known parts of the park which aren’t even on most maps, which turned out to be the best views that we had. We got unlucky and the park was unexpectedly closed for 2 days during our stay and she drove us to the ticket office and even negotiated us a refund. The hotel is a lovely family run business and the food that we could order for breakfast and dinner was delicious. There were sockets that we could plug our european chargers into which was also a plus. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here because of the great hospitality and easy access to the park.

Positive: Really great place to stay to explore the avatar mountains! The host was lovely and extremely helpful in helping us plan the route/locations for each day. A very good location for the mountains but is quite far from the centre of Zhangjiajie & there aren’t any shops/restaurants nearby! Although the hotel has an attached restaurant with excellent food. They also arranged transport to the airport which was very useful given the location.

Positive: It was great location for getting to the park I’d say an 8min walk, all the room facilities where good and the manager carol was so so lovely and always there to help you she made my experience even more amazing, they have a restaurant you can eat at as there isn’t anything nearby and the food is lovely, it’s a nice family run vibe and nice to be in a more rural area for a change.

Negative: The only thing was my room was cold a lot of the time even though having the heater running all the time but I think you need to expect these things where in the rural areas central heating isn’t common, Carol offered me a hot water bottle which helped.

Positive: Carol is an exceptional host who speaks good English. She has a very good knowledge of where to go and visit in the Zhangjiajie Forest Park. Close (400 metres) to the West Gate Ticket Office. Serves good value breakfast (3 options) and very good value dinner.

Negative: No lifts and no free laundry facilities.
