Positive: This homestay is absolutely fantastic. The host arranged our airport pickup in advance and provided complimentary shuttle service to the Forest Park every day, which only takes about 5 minutes. Of course, we did our homework beforehand, but the park is so vast that it’s essential to follow the host’s advice. We’re so glad we listened to her from the start and didn’t book any tickets online ourselves—there are multiple entrances and reservations required, but Long Jing took care of everything for us in advance. Thanks to her well-planned itinerary, we experienced the unique charm of Zhangjiajie, and it was absolutely breathtaking. Plus, with her thoughtful arrangements, we avoided all the queues. The rooms are impeccably clean, and breakfast and dinner are different every day. You must try the Chinese dinners here—they’re a real treat. The WiFi signal is excellent. Long Jing explained that to ensure strong connectivity and fast speeds, each room and area has its own dedicated WiFi network, though all share the same password. At first, my friend thought the signal was weak while dining downstairs, but it turned out we simply hadn’t connected to the WiFi properly. On clear afternoons, you can even spot little monkeys on the mountainside right across from the homestay. Just remember to keep the door to the second-floor common area tightly closed—unless you’re up for a playful visit from these little creatures! Trust me, if you’re looking for the homestay closest to the forest in Zhangjiajie, this is undoubtedly your best choice.

Positive: The stay in the hotel was super nice. The whole family took great care of us and the food was delicious and it is a great hotel for families and anyone wanting to visit Zhangjiajie National Park. When you know the plan of the forest it is really not hard, but there is not really a good plan. The owner gave us directions and provided a driver to get us to the park and back.

Positive: Longines the owner was so so helpful.....no need to book a tour, just book a few nights here and Longines will package everything up and drop you at the forest gate with everything mapped out. The accommodation is high standard, very clean, great breakfast. You can pay extra for dinner which is cooked by Papa. The food was delicious and we devoured it each evening after exploring the incredible forest. The accommotion is 5 mins from West gate and you will avoid massive queues coming in at the east gate. Our stay was truly unforgettable (we stayed 4 nights in total). I 100% recommend this accommodation and Longines and her family as your hosts.

Summary: The perfect place for exploring the forest. Do not look elsewhere.

Negative: The pool was not operational. If you particularly care about this, it may be good to write the owners to make sure they have it up and running before your stay.

Positive: Fantastic place! The hotel is family-run,the hosts are very helpful (they will help you plan your visit to ZhangJiajie park and around and even book for you tickets). The location is very convenient,only few minutes away from the west entrance of the park, in a quiet open place. The bedroom was large, clean and well-equiped. We recommend the place and would definitely book again if we were to come back to Zhangjiajie !

Positive: I am very satisfied with the accommodation experience. We could communicate with Long Jing about the daily itinerary every day. She picked us up and dropped us off every day. We had a pleasant stay for many days. There was also a free laundry room and freshly ground coffee. For the first time, we had freshly ground coffee which I love. The breakfast was very abundant and different every day. We chose to have dinner at the guesthouse every night because we were too hungry at noon in the scenic area. I am very happy and hope to be able to help you.

Positive: It's so delightful to live here. I'm going to recommend this place to my American friends. During the day, when the weather is fine, I even saw several little monkeys playing on the opposite side of the stream. I also tried fishing in the stream of the guesthouse, but I didn't succeed. Long Jing, the owner, is really an interesting girl. We became good friends. For the first time in a hotel in China, I had pure American coffee. Long Jing carefully ground two cups of American coffee for me. Of course, I now prefer Chinese cuisine more. Here, I also had Zhangjiajie tea. It's very friendly to the throat and inflammation. At night, I can sit in the small courtyard and drink beer and have Chinese food. There's no charge for drinking Chinese tea. The owner said that many friends haven't tried it before. Next time, friends who come here must give it a try.
