Positive: This was honestly the most caring and attentive experience we’ve ever had in any hotel in the world. It’s a small place in the mountains where you’re treated not like a guest, but like long-awaited friends. The hosts met us at the station, helped us buy tickets to the park, and planned a perfect itinerary - we managed to see everything we wanted without queues. They even gave us raincoats and packed lunch for the day. The hotel itself is a cozy and stylish house in a real Chinese village. You wake up to the sound of roosters, there’s a small garden and a terrace, and the rooms have panoramic windows with beautiful mountain views. The rooms had everything we needed, with very comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast was homemade, incredibly delicious, and different every day - a real highlight. I truly believe this is the best place to stay when visiting the park. Don’t worry that it’s not right next to the entrance - this actually makes the experience more authentic, and the hosts take care of everything, including getting you to the park easily.

Positive: It is difficult to improve the quality of the attention and detail that Tao and Li give to their tennants. Comunication, generosity, useful information, environment, quality of food and the facilities are among their best things to say. Breakfast and transport to the west gate (best gate to avoid queues) included in the price, and services like transport to the airport or tickets for the park are high points as well. And of course caring for advice in your visit to the National Park is something that really goes beyond. Thank you very much for everything, every visitor to Zhangjiejie had to experience to stay at The Quiet Place.

Positive: Beautiful property right on the edge of the park, very comfortable room with modern amenities, great location just 10 minutes drive from the west gate to the national park (this gate is less busy and we experienced no queues), great hosts, very kind and welcoming, they helped us plan 2 days in the national park and helped us get tickets, cooked delicious traditional food and arranged pick up and return to the train station plus any other car hire we needed and just went above and beyond. Also outside dining area in a beautiful garden. Warmly recommend.

Positive: This homestay is absolutely fantastic. The host arranged our airport pickup in advance and provided complimentary shuttle service to the Forest Park every day, which only takes about 5 minutes. Of course, we did our homework beforehand, but the park is so vast that it’s essential to follow the host’s advice. We’re so glad we listened to her from the start and didn’t book any tickets online ourselves—there are multiple entrances and reservations required, but Long Jing took care of everything for us in advance. Thanks to her well-planned itinerary, we experienced the unique charm of Zhangjiajie, and it was absolutely breathtaking. Plus, with her thoughtful arrangements, we avoided all the queues. The rooms are impeccably clean, and breakfast and dinner are different every day. You must try the Chinese dinners here—they’re a real treat. The WiFi signal is excellent. Long Jing explained that to ensure strong connectivity and fast speeds, each room and area has its own dedicated WiFi network, though all share the same password. At first, my friend thought the signal was weak while dining downstairs, but it turned out we simply hadn’t connected to the WiFi properly. On clear afternoons, you can even spot little monkeys on the mountainside right across from the homestay. Just remember to keep the door to the second-floor common area tightly closed—unless you’re up for a playful visit from these little creatures! Trust me, if you’re looking for the homestay closest to the forest in Zhangjiajie, this is undoubtedly your best choice.

Positive: The stay in the hotel was super nice. The whole family took great care of us and the food was delicious and it is a great hotel for families and anyone wanting to visit Zhangjiajie National Park. When you know the plan of the forest it is really not hard, but there is not really a good plan. The owner gave us directions and provided a driver to get us to the park and back.

Positive: Longines the owner was so so helpful.....no need to book a tour, just book a few nights here and Longines will package everything up and drop you at the forest gate with everything mapped out. The accommodation is high standard, very clean, great breakfast. You can pay extra for dinner which is cooked by Papa. The food was delicious and we devoured it each evening after exploring the incredible forest. The accommotion is 5 mins from West gate and you will avoid massive queues coming in at the east gate. Our stay was truly unforgettable (we stayed 4 nights in total). I 100% recommend this accommodation and Longines and her family as your hosts.
