Positive: Lovely hotel in a great location a little walk outside of the bustling city centre of Guilin. Staff were super helpful and the room was great. And, as others have mentioned, the coffee shop in the ground floor is very charming and makes delicious coffees (I recommend the coconut latte!).

Positive: Could not have asked for a better welcome for my first stay in China. Front of house staff excellent, the sister who assisted me was attentive, responsive, informative, helpful, knowledgeable. For someone with a lot of questions it was fantastic. The room was comfortable and lighting thoughtfully done. The bath was great at the end of a long day of exploring. Renli noodles a fantastic recommendation, genuine Guilin noodles, helpful staff and great food. I can also recommend the Buddhist Temple restaurant for vegan versions of many dishes, but arrive early as it is busy! The other food places on the road were interesting, I got chestnuts, little oranges and hawthorn!

Negative: Unfortunately, the car share tour to Longsheng recommended by the hotel in January 2025 was not good. Every positive thing I said about the sister at Zen Tea House would be reversed for this unhappy man. He was only interested in making the passengers feel like sheep while he led them around and attempted to get more money out of them. Everyone else in the car was Chinese, so I assumed it would be good, but that was not the case. I hope Zen Tea Garden find another operator to work with.

Positive: Nicely designed room with raised seating area, upgraded to a room with a massive bath. A F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S coffee shop and you get a token for a free Coffee each day. Not only that but the coffee is so reasonably priced ⅓ the price of Starbucks and 10 times better

Positive: Location ok, close to restaurants and one main attraction. 30 min by taxi from rail station. Comfortable bed. Nice staff and communication only possible by translation app. Nice view of the river from the room.

Negative: The floor was not clean had dust, dirt and hair but they offer free slippers. The walls need washing, looked like boogers wiped on the walls over the bed. Our room was left open after they changed towels.

Positive: Very comfy room and the hotel in general. Great location, not far from major attractions and the train station. Extremely helpful staff - helping me book a tour, order something online, and waiting with me to make sure the tour picks me up. Great attached coffee house with 1 free cup for every booked day. Lovely decor. Elevator.

Negative: Just a small pet peeve - the shutters on the window were annoying to operate. And the lights system was a hassle to figure out.

Summary: Great stay at clean and modern charming hotel, with very helpful staff.
