Positive: The view, the room and hosts. We got closer to the real and enriching experience of living among locals, the rice fields and the whole beauty of it. The rooms are just outstanding, photos are realistic

Negative: Not that I didn't like but it's something that potential guests have to be aware of. You need to walk up a very steep hill to get home. If you have good legs, or good scooter and driving skills that won't be a problem. The great view and location comes with a "price" 😁

Positive: The views were immaculate and the people living in the home stay were really nice. The hosts tried their best to accommodate for each of our requests and they always did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible!

Negative: - Unless you’re arriving by bike, you’ll need to take quite a steep hike of around 10 minutes from the main road in order to reach the homestay. I think the hosts should be clear about this prior to the guests arrival so that guest can be more prepared for it, it some guests can decide whether to rebook with a different homestay at that point.

Positive: Miku and her family are so friendly and made us feel so welcome in their home. The family dinners were some of the best food we've ever had, such a great variety of food every night. The trek we did with Miku was our highlight of the stay, she was happy to answer all of our questions and have us a great insight into the lives of the Hmong people. Miku also was great for organising taxis for us and helping with our bags or lending footwear or pretty much anything we asked. And lastly, the views from her place are second to none, exactly what you want in this beautiful part of the world.

Negative: The path up to the house is very steep and incredibly slippery during rainy season. We really struggled with our backpacks and I think, with such a big drop to the side of the path, a railing of some sort is badly needed. Also, the only source of ventilation in the bathroom was two large holes in the wall which makes it very easy for bugs to get into the room, maybe some mesh over these holes could help this.

Positive: Miku made us feel incredibly welcome and cared for on our stay. She cooked us delicious meals, took us on a hike through the rice fields and was willing to share her stories and knowledge.
