Positive: The hostel itself has great facilities and is within walking distance to night market and some of the ending point for water activities on the river (tubing, kayaking, etc.) More importantly, it is also close to a lot of other tour operators / agents that can help you sign up for activities / transportation at the best price. I personally recommend the one a few doors up (turn left when you exit the hostel) that also rents out motorcycles, as I found they have the best price for activities such as hot air balloon. The facilities are also clean. As of January 2026 there appears to be some sort of renovation happening nearby and it could be dusty / loud during the day, but most people should be out doing activities anyways.

Negative: I do not recommend booking ANY activity at this hostel, as the price is clearly above what other places charge. Hot air balloon was $79 but you can book for $70 a few doors up. I also wanted to book a train ticket to Luang Prabang the following day and the guy at reception lied with a straight face about the only availability being a first class train ticket, and I found not only second class tickets elsewhere (a few doors up from the hostel) but also at multiple times. When I returned I made him show me on the app he was using, and even on the app it showed second class tickets, So no I do not recommend anyone booking activities at this hostel's reception.

Positive: These days was just perfect! The room was super clean, the bed was neat and comfy. The vibe is super chill. It really feels like home, especially in the evening when everyone hangs out and talks.

Positive: A 5 minute walk from the night market, staff is super kind and friendly, able to book lots of things through reception, beds were wide and very comfortable! The bathroom was very clean.

Negative: No A/C in the room, but the nights cooled down enough to leave the windows open. Not too big of a social atmosphere, I think the beer bar might be under renovation.

Summary: Amazing value, would stay here again!
