THE LOCATION
Vernon Township is in Sussex County New Jersey, USA. It is located about 1 hour from New York City and was established on April 8, 1793. Iron mining was prevalent during the mid-to-late 19th century. Mines such as Canister Mine, Williams Mine, and the Pochuck Mine created industry which spawned local businesses and brought rail travel to the town.
Today Vernon and the immediate area is an outdoor lover’s paradise. Here you will find a landscape consisting of residential and resort communities, farmland, apple orchards, pumpkin patches, bird watching, barns, horse farms and stables, lakes, fishing, and just so much natural beauty. The famous Appalachian Trail (AT) even runs through it! You will be amazed on what you will find only 1 hour outside of New York City.

Summary: We came in town for a wedding. The condo was clean and check in was easy. Followed aome of the suggestions for things to do and had a good time. Only complaint was the bed was very uncomfortable 😕

Summary: We were looking for a ski-in, ski-out experience with an outdoor heated pool & an efficiency kitchen. This place checked all the boxes. We had a great time!! *don’t forget to BYO towels for the pool/spa & extra coffee pods if you’re a heavy coffee drinker like me ;)

Summary: My stay at the property was nothing short of exceptional. The room was exactly as depicted in the photos and described in the details. The room was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. It was walking distance to Mountain Creek water park. I would stay here again or at any of Gerry’s properties. Highly recommended.

Summary: The property was clean, well stocked, and the property manager was GREAT with communication. There wasn't as much to do bc of covid, but this was explained in the reservation. Only complaint is that the room was a little small and beds were uncomfortable, but the location and cleanliness made up for it.
