Villa melissa is situated at the southwest side of andros at an ideal location that provides a marvelous view of the sea extending from behind the cliffs and the islands of Yaros, Kea ( tzia ) and Siros at the horizon.
At a close distance from the house there are the organized ( sunbeds , umbrellas & beach bar facilities ) beaches of apothikes and halkolimionas which both display unique characteristics and can be quickly reached within a 5 minute ride . All other beaches of the southern side of the island can be easily reached within a 15-20 minute ride .
The villa is positioned right in the middle of the distance between the two major towns of bátsi and andros (chora) and travelling to either one of them should not take more than 15 minutes .
The house is designed to fit the islands character by combining elements of wood and stone. The exterior setting consists of paved space and of a 10 x 5 m swimming pool(operating normally from may the 1st till october the 15th, however the duration of the operation period can be adjusted according to guest's spesific needs ) which is framed by grass lawn . A wooden pergola is set up and attached to the preface of the house and below it there is room for sitting and dinning while still maintaining a view of the sea , the sky and the natural scenery.
The interior offers a variety of features which vary from the traditional aesthetic to the modern one . The rooms are spacious and openly connect to each other , thus attributing a sense of wholeness to the interior space . Moreover they are designed and decorated in such a manner so as to be both aesthetically pleasing but also simplistic in nature and practical to live in .
Villa melissa is divided in two floors , connected by a staircase. The lower one is occupied by a large living room and a sitting room , a fully equipped kitchen , a guest room and a bathroom( shower/wc with shower cabin) . Almost every one of the rooms connects with the exterior space by french doors that allow plenty of natural light to penetrate into the villa and also provide a view to the sea.
The upper floor consists of two bedrooms with queen sized beds , which are served by a single bathroom and a master bedroom with its own bathroom. These rooms share the same qualities with the ones of the ground floor , having ample natural lighting and unrestricted view to the sea .

Summary: We truly enjoyed the house and the pool. The kitchen had everything we needed and we loved being able to dine outiside on the patio. The view from the house to the ocean is stunning and we were really able to relax. The house is not too far from Andros Town or Batsi and we were able to do lots of great hiking not far away.

Summary: Very spacious villa, nicely decorated. Note that the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms were better than the ground floor ones in decoration and space (we had tall people in the downstairs bathroom, it was not ideal). The pool was super clean, the large kitchen very well equipped and with a generous welcome basket of food&drink. Located near 2 great beaches. Off the beaten path. A bit far from groceries and restaurants.

Summary: This is a wonderful, private villa where six to 8 people can enjoy in the lovely unspoilt island of Andros. It’s only 10 minutes drive to some charming, uncrowned beaches that each have their own bars offering basic food and drinks. The owner Is very organised providing all the directions and advice you need and the villa is stocked with all the necessities too. The only downside is that the nearest food shop is around 25 minutes drive away in Batsi. But that is partly down to Andros being a very unspoilt island. Enjoy the beautiful infinity pool, and if you’re lucky, a couple of mountain goats might visit you first thing in the morning.

Summary: the house was great and very well located. It was very easy to go everywhere and visit the island. we did nice walks from little villages down to the sea and as it was windy we didn’t suffer too much of the heat when walking. we had a very nice time, greek people are all very nice and we felt very far from home !

Summary: We like the location and all the amenities in the house. It was cold for the swimming pool but beach in Andros is nice and much better. Andros is beautiful island specially in the spring with possibility to spend more than 1 week, Almost every day we go to the Andros city which is one of the best place in the island and around 20 min from the house. Summary: A tremendous base to stay on Andros as centrally located for everything on this 25 x 10 miles island. The interior of the villa is stunning, with every amenity you could possibly need. The huge terrace includes a large private 10 x 6 metre infinity pool with fantastic views of the Agean sea. The villa owner, Antonis, was excellent in providing help and information - his attention to detail is second to none. He arranged our car hire, recommended a hotel in Port Rafina, and provided detailed information about the ferry services to Andros, where to eat, local beaches, where to shop etc. The small family run traditional taverna, 5 kms up the road towards Chora, was excellent to experience local Greek food and hospitality. The owners of the villa immediately behind and slightly above the property were very nice as well as being helpful. A fantastic villa and a beautiful island with lovely walking on the Andros route.

Summary: We spent an amazing week with friends in Villa Melissa. The house is very confortable, well furnished with large rooms. There is a large terrasse with a beautiful view on the pool and Agean sea. The house is very clean and tastefully decorated. Antonis has been very kind and helpful for the organisation, he was always available to help and gave us a lot of very good advises for beaches, restaurant and places of interest. Andros is a beautiful island, typically Greek with a lot of beautiful beaches and villages. This is not too touristic that is very relaxing. We highly recommend this house!

Summary: It was our first time vacationing in Andros and I can say that we were more than pleased. The villa was clean and tidy and the interior design was both, modern and authentic. The views are stunning and we liked very much that we could take a 5min drive right to the beach. It was very convenient that the beach had a very nice beach bar. We spent a lot of time lounging on our terrace enjoying the pool. I would recommend this accommodation to others as I believe its laid back luxurious atmosphere is one many would appreciate. The owners were very nice and friendly which made it all the more enjoyable. Great place, hope to return soon!
