This lovely 2 bedroom villa in the village of Metaxata, South West area of Kefalonia, is ideally located for touring this beautiful Island and its beaches. The generous well kept gardens feature a beautiful old olive tree which provides ideal shade during the hottest times of the day. Full cooker, washing machine, large fridge freezer and air conditioning in the living area and bedrooms. Free wi-fi and internet television are available for guests use. Metaxata is only (10 kilometres) 10 minutes drive from the capital Argostoli and the busy resort of Lassi. A variety of lovely sandy beaches and the airport are 10 to 15 mins away. The fortress of Saint George the old capital of Kefalonia is close by and has spectacular views. There is a small supermarket and a Gyro/Souvlaki bar in the village and 2 excellent Tavernas within 5 minutes walking distance. Lakithra the next village (1 Km) has supermarket, bakery, Pizza/Greek Restaurants and Café/Bar. We recommend the Byzantio Pool Bar in Klismata for swimming, also the Mouikis Village in Lakithra which offers swimming pool, tennis courts and bar for public use.

Summary: Villa Aalish is a perfect place to stay in Kefalonia. The house has everything you could possibly need- the garden is just beautiful- so relaxing and peaceful. We have stayed here a few times over the years and would highly recommend.

Summary: Our stay was okay but the villa was not for us and a little disappointing. It looks better online, the cleaning wasn’t great, no contact from the property manager. The welcome pack was disappointing, poor quality goods eg, margarine instead of butter. The garden was somewhat unkept.

Summary: Nice vila in a quit place. We had a great time. The Vila is 10 minutes from Avithos beach and Argistoli. On route to the beach is a very nice Marine bar in Kourkoumelata with delicious brownies and good coffee.

Summary: We had a warm welcome fro Ivor who met us at the airport and escorted us to the bungalow, tucked away in a small cul de sac. The property was just what we wanted and expected. It was very clean tidy and well laid out. Plenty of cds and dvds to entertain us as we sat on the veranda with our wine , oh so very peaceful and quite. Good location for visiting the island and we managed to visit all four corners ( so to speak) The only negative was that the mattress’s where a little hard, BUT that is just personal taste. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again when we visit again. The property is highly recommended and worth 5***** We will be visiting again.

Summary: We stayed as a family at the end of July 2021 . The villa is in a stunning location and a very tranquil setting . Great location for amenities and several restaurants close by which serves some lovely Greek food . We had a car for our entire stay and I would advise this so you can explore the island with ease . The owners were extremely helpful with the booking process and Ivor met us on arrival and explained everything to us which was great . We will definitely return and would recommend to anyone who wants to see Greece at its best

Summary: Villa Ailish was perfect for us as a family of four. It was everything (and more) that was advertised. From the minute that we booked, communication with the owners was first class. We even had a phone call from Ivor (who looks after the property) when we arrived back in the UK to see that we were ok and had got home safely. Knowing that Pam and Ivor were on hand should we need a doctor or go to the hospital was just so reassuring, especially as we have children. The Villa had everything we needed and the patio and garden were simply amazing. The views over the fields and of the mountains were breathtakingly. Kefalonia is our favourite holiday destination and now Villa Ailish is our favourite place to stay on the island. We loved it that much that we've booked for next year!!!! Thank you Colin &Jacqui.

Summary: This was our second visit to Villa Aalish. The house is lovely, so well equipped and the garden is a stunning haven. The location is perfect for travelling around Kefalonia and exploring the villages and beaches surrounding the area. The Olive Garden restaurant is a very friendly place to visit and only a short walk away. Also try the Grill Bar in the village - good value. There is always a warm welcome from Pam and Ivor who look after the villa. We always enjoy our stay in Kefalonia and the villa provides us with a comfortable and peaceful base.
