This first floor apartment boasts fantastic views of the sea and will be ideal for not only a romantic break but also family holidays; ideal for 4.
It is close to the island's capital Argostoli and the holiday resort of Lassi.
The apartment has an indoor dining area and an outdoor dining area overlooking the pool.
Wifi and air-conditioning throughout (included in the price).
Fully equipped kitchen, with washing machine and dishwasher.

Apartment description :
Bedroom 1: Double bedded room with plenty of built-in storage space and en-suite bathroom (large full width shower cubical). Safety deposit box fitted. Large private balcony to relax and admire the views to die for of nearby Zakynthos and Dias islands.
Bedroom 2: Two single beds again with plenty of built-in storage space. Private balcony.
Second bathroom : accessible from the hall way. Also includes large full width shower cubical.

There are a number of books in English, Kefalonia guide books and card games.
Towels and linen are provided. For bookings of 10 days or more, a mid-stay clean is included at no extra charge.
For smaller stays, should you require a mid-stay clean it can be provided for an additional charge.
No exit clean charge.
The BBQ area is alongside the pool which provides a romantic back drop to the evening when lit with underwater lighting.

Villa Helios is set in the picturesque village of Kaligata. There are fruit and olive trees around the area which give a very Mediterranean feel to the place. Vineyards are everywhere to be seen as you will discover, as this was the home of the Calliga Winery a favorite for the Robola wines. There is a winery on the way to the nearby beach (Sarris winery).
Within 10 mns walk is Marina's Bar in the centre of Kourkoumelata. It’s a café bar with a lovely view on the surrounding countryside / coast and an extensive snack & drink menu.
There is also a well-stocked supermarket about 5 mns drive, 20 mns walk.
Just 15 minutes’ walk away (5 mns drive) is Avithos beach with its views of Zakynthos and Dias islands. Here you will find three lovely bar/restaurants for refreshments: Avithos Preview Taverna, To Enetiko (with a private parking area) and a beach bar.
A car is recommended for your stay but alternatively there is the local English speaking taxi service.
Argostoli is a 15 minutes’ drive. It is the capital of the island and has many bars and restaurants and lots of shopping options with pedestrian streets. Quite often you will share the port with the turtles that are waiting for the fishermen to feast on leftover fish!
Villa Helios is the ideal place for those who are looking for a self-catering arrangement but also within a short walk of a number of bars and restaurants or a short drive to the resort of Lassi (10 mns) with its wide range of bars & restaurants offering both international and Greek cuisine, its lovely beaches and a great dive center (for all levels + PADI certifications). I am a diver (AOW) and have been diving with them for a number of years ! :)
Kayak and paddle excursions nearby. Again highly recommended !

Summary: From the seamless booking arrangements to the entire experience, was perfect. The Villa is a little isolated (if you dont have a car) but the tranquil surroundings and views make it a perfect place to escape and truly connect with this breathtaking island. Summary: We had a lovely stay at villa Helios, the apartment was clean and big big enough for the 4 of us. The pool was great too. Although shared, it wasn’t a problem, our kids played with the kids that were on holiday downstairs. The location is a short drive from the airport, and beaches all very close. All in all, a lovely holiday had by all! Thank you!

Summary: We had a wonderful week at villa Helios. A taste of peace and tranquility with just a short distance to a beautiful beach and nearby villages. We didn’t hire a car in the end, it would have been beneficial but the local taxi service was amazing and easy to use. A fab little villa with amazing views. The only thing that annoyed us was the amount of wasps! Apparently drunk from the local grapes. Thank you for an easy and relaxing stay

Summary: We loved our stay at Villa Helios, the property was very nice and exactly what we expected. Very clean and comfortable with lovely views out to see from the balcony, great to have your breakfast on or that last glass of wine watching the sun go down. Beds and facilities were good with no issues at all. You definitely need a car here to get about, however once you get your bearings it's easy to get around. Lot's of nice restaurants within 15 mins drive - particularly recommend The Olive Lounge and El Borgho, both quite close to each other near the castle, fantastic food and views at both. The pool was great and very welcome to cool off in as the weather was perfect for all the time we were here. No issues with it being shared, mostly we had it to ourselves anyway. All in all we would highly recommend Villa Helios for a family getaway.

Summary: The managers Paul And Sara were the best. They were friendly and very helpful. I would give this accommodation five stars but I had a few very minor issues. One issue was I would have been content if I were told the WiFi available was limited. As a result, I used the daily WiFi data up on my first night while streaming Netflix. The utilities went out the next day and I assumed the router needed reset, as what I’m accustomed to. Because, I reset the WiFi router I shut down the complete WiFi system altogether. So two days without internet I decided, I’d pay what it takes to get internet up again. After speaking with Sara, I was informed about how WiFi works on Kefalonia and decided; because of my ignorance, I should pay the 35 euros to have a service tech come and reset the router. All was good when the tech arrived in a very timely manner. Thank you , Sara. One other issue is that the cooking utensils for Teflon skillets should be plastic. We were concerned about using the metal ones, the only ones provided. All else was fantastic and I would highly recommend this villa as well as return again. Thanks again to Paul and Sara.

Summary: Had a fab 10days at this villa. Definitely need to hire a car to get about but beaches and restaurants are still in walking distance. Think there maybe a fault with electric fuse board as had 2 separate power cuts when used the oven but didn't effect the experience at all. Thank you
