Positive: We had a great stay at Vila Gloria Guesthouse. The room was beautiful and the pool the best! Being a bit far away from the city it is peaceful and quiet. The host was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

Positive: We had an amazing experience at Vila Gloria. It s located in a peaceful area perfect for descovering the Algarves's beauties. The staff was very friendly and we felt like home. The room was big and with all comforts. The pool was clean and tidy. There s a big shared kitchen that was very useful and great shared spaces for eating outside. There s a good space for parking too. We ll recommend it to every one!

Positive: Lovely place overall, cosy feel. We had some lovely evenings with another couple on the terrace. Good regular communication from the start with the hosts by text. They responded to requests. The pool looked nice but was a bit too cold for us during our stay! We sunbathed a little by the pool and it was nice. The fan in the bedroom worked well. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook with. Supermarket and Lagos are close by. Good value, has everything you need.

Negative: I like to go running and I wouldn’t feel safe going for a run along the country roads surrounding the property- not something you can change but a heads up for runners! We were in the room Isaura which was nicely done up and a nice room mostly but the sliding bathroom door is bad for privacy. Also it’s right next to the entrance to the building so there’s often people walking past. The bathroom window doesn’t open (not that I’d want that as it’s right by the entrance) and the extractor fan only comes on for a certain length of time, and it’s not long enough to clear a room after a shower, so it gets humid.

Positive: A really beautiful guest house just out of Lagos. We stayed in a beautiful spacious room. It was a lovely setting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There is a huge kitchen and staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. A great place to stay if you have a car.

Negative: It is a bit tricky to get to, you would definitely need a car. It would have been nice if there was 2 rubbish bins in the room as there was only one in the bathroom.

Positive: This is a hidden little gem not far from Lagos. We had one of our best night sleeps in very quiet, dark, comfortable bed and pillows. Amazing bathroom with good hot water! And heating works well! Very well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed our breakfast outside in the sun on the patio with a lovely view. Very smooth process from self check in to check out. Did not meet the host, but always messaging promptly for instructions and any questions we may had. Really recommend staying in this place pre or post visiting Lagos ( a must!)

Positive: The owner/host reached out to introduce herself and to provide important preliminary information. The staff was ready for my stay. I found the property inviting and I appreciated the somewhat “country” setting.

Negative: Google Maps showed how to get to the property, while the rental car navigation system could not find the property address.
