Positive: Breakfast was delicious, but adding bacon or sausage would put it over the top. The deck was great and the view was amazing.

Negative: Our bathroom was across the hall from our bedroom, so not ensuite. Which was livable, but we ended up having to lock it because someone else staying there thought it was a shared bathroom and tried to use it. The bedroom door had gaps around the edges, so didn’t stop sound or light from getting into the room at night. More comfortable lounge chairs in the sitting/breakfast room would make it a more inviting space.

Positive: We didn’t actually stay at Valhalla we stayed at their sister location which was great. Clean, organized, friendly welcome staff. Was able to do laundry which is hard to do traveling in remote areas. Staff made us breakfast to go since we were leaving super early. I would recommend staying at either location due to the great time we had due to the staff!!

Negative: Not a thing

Summary: Great experience and the attention to details made it a place I would go back to in remote Newfoundland

Positive: The breakfast was very tasty. Served hot with individual choice of egg or pancakes. Local jams were also served. we even were offered extra as the cook had extra made.

Negative: Not being able to arrive earlier in the day and enjoy the view.

Positive: The owner was very kind to upgrade us to a cabin and even gifted my son a book. Staff were wonderful. Breakfast was lovely! Gorgeous views! Beautiful spot! I highly recommend it.

Positive: Folksy, really nice common area and deck with a spectacular view. The room was comfortable, with a nice modern shower. Quiet---we were surprised to find how many other people were there (in the morning at breakfast) given that we heard basically no one else. Edna was very nice and made a great breakfast. Super comfortable bed.

Negative: No restaurant within walking distance (although the Norseman was really nice too, just a short drive away).

Summary: Very comfortable place, easy to find

Positive: Great location for when you're visiting L'Anse aux Meadows. The room was cozy, but had 2 chairs, which is really important to us as readers. Also a fan, to run at night. Breakfast was served at a big table in the gathering area that had lots of comfy seating and great views. (Nice fluffy pancakes!) We slept very well. A very nice stay!

Negative: We did not stay at this property but in a house at the northern tip of the peninsula. It was comfortable and well equip but we would have liked to have been informed of the change prior to arrival. We felt the recommended restaurant was very overpriced - owned by the owner of the accommodation. We appreciate the cost of transportation and staffing would be a factor but we could not afford to eat there and sought alternatives. Limited choice but we were successful in finding much better value for money.

Summary: Convenient for exploring L’Anse aux Meadows which was our main objective.
