Positive: Folksy, really nice common area and deck with a spectacular view. The room was comfortable, with a nice modern shower. Quiet---we were surprised to find how many other people were there (in the morning at breakfast) given that we heard basically no one else. Edna was very nice and made a great breakfast. Super comfortable bed.

Negative: No restaurant within walking distance (although the Norseman was really nice too, just a short drive away).

Positive: Great location for when you're visiting L'Anse aux Meadows. The room was cozy, but had 2 chairs, which is really important to us as readers. Also a fan, to run at night. Breakfast was served at a big table in the gathering area that had lots of comfy seating and great views. (Nice fluffy pancakes!) We slept very well. A very nice stay!

Negative: We did not stay at this property but in a house at the northern tip of the peninsula. It was comfortable and well equip but we would have liked to have been informed of the change prior to arrival. We felt the recommended restaurant was very overpriced - owned by the owner of the accommodation. We appreciate the cost of transportation and staffing would be a factor but we could not afford to eat there and sought alternatives. Limited choice but we were successful in finding much better value for money.

Summary: Convenient for exploring L’Anse aux Meadows which was our main objective.
