Positive: The room was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom is still very private even if it is not directly linked to the bedroom - you basically have your own floor in the house. The hosts are both friendly and chatty and the little dogs are no bother - just a lovely addition to the home. We used the private lounge as well on the evening just to watch TV and read so this was a nice space and very much homely. There are lots of interesting pieces of art around the property. The breakfast was great and prepared well - we really enjoyed this (we'd stayed the night before in a B&B with a 'renowned chef' but we preferred this breakfast so thank you - it was much nicer!) We found the accessibility into town really good and not far at all - its down hill there and very lightly uphill back - we would 100% stay here again if we were to come back to Whitby which we usually do every few years - a great experience and very memorable as well as the property is very interesting and has a lot of history.

Negative: We had no issues at all - because there isn't a TV in the bedroom we did feel a bit worried at first about going downstairs in our pyjamas - but we got over this quickly. It would have been nice to just have a fleecy blanket in the lounge as well so we could have snuggled up on the sofa a bit more like we would at home. We liked everything though and there are no negatives more just a suggestion! Both hosts are really nice people as well.

Positive: Location was close to everywhere we needed to visit in Whitby. Our main reason to visit was to go to the Whitby Pavilion . Breakfast was excellent and served and cooked by Richard who was an exceptional host .

Negative: Nothing everything was perfect .

Summary: This is one of the best accommodation we have ever stayed in , we were very privileged to stay there

Positive: Beautiful home with character and charm. Great garden. Facilities very good and beautiful room with very comfy bed. Location is just around the corner from West Cliff. Hosts are very friendly and welcoming . Big bathroom with good separate shower and period bath.

Negative: Nothing really. Parking could be a bit difficult on the main road but West Cliff car park is very close.

Could not recommend this property enough and this place is an absolute gem, if you are considering staying in Whitby value for money is outstanding down to the room facilities and breakfast please consider this place if your visiting Whitby that is if you can get in .

Positive: Property was beautiful. Richard and Janet were very welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and spoilt for choice. The bedroom had beautiful view and was immaculate and the decor was beautiful. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Positive: This BnB is fantastic, Ill start with the value for money - its exceptional. A place of this standard, service, food and hosts should be more in the triple figure prices.. I was blown away at the value. Richard was a lovely welcoming host and made me feel at ease as a I was a solo guest. The welcome was warm and friendly and lots of informative things advised when I arrived. The room is incredible- check out the photos. Its spacious , Airy and light and very private with a large bathroom with bath and shower as a bathroom private to the room. The breakfast next morning was prompt, tasty and very varied - you could have whatever you wanted , I wanted eggs on toast and it was cooked to perfection, The location and parking is great too - Its a 15 minute walk into the center of Whitby. The pet dogs are comical - I wont mention the dogs names due to security but they are absolute bundles of fun. Thank you very Much Richard, Jane and Furry friends - I will be returning - amazing stay! Nikki Liverpool xx
