Positive: We stayed at Chrisyis for only one night, but it was the favorite stay for our kids - they got their own 'cave room' for the night' - how cool is that? The kitchenette would support a longer stay if you wanted to spend some a leisurely time there. The two floors make for lots of living space - in particular, a good place to cool down on a hot day. The hosts were responsive and helpful in our questions. The town of Pyrgi is a quaint place where in the town square are a number of restaurants where people eat a slow meal in the shadow of the bell tower. One note so you don't get stuck: We were on a tour of Turkiye, and found out just before taking the ferry across to Chios, that the rental company wouldn't allow us to take our rented car to the Greek island. Bummer. We stayed one night in the city of Chios, and one in Pyrgi - a nice pace unless you really want to take it easy. The Mastic Museum was a good option and would recommend it - it's a smaller museum, but had something for all the family - who knew mastic was so interesting? (Also, you can buy all kinds of mastic-infused stuff if you want - which is kind of fun. We took the local bus from Chios to the museum - that (20 km?) trip took about 2 hours. Taxi it would be my recommendation on that one.

Positive: Beyond impressed!!! A magnificent and unique medieval home with all the amenities which met all of our expectations and beyond. Wish we could have stayed longer. Loved every minute in Pyrgi❤️ The stay was as wonderful as our host and his lovely mother with hospitality and kindness.

Positive: It was a very old building with modern comfort. There were one bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen on the ground floor. The another bedroom and the another bathroom were on the first floor. the house was tastefully decorated. Its was 3 min walk to the main square. Very clean and quiet.

Negative: There is no parking place. Everything was very good.

Positive: Amazing! Took our breath away when we arrived. A beautiful traditional town house, expertly renovated with all mod-cons. Very friendly, helpful host, short walk to a fabulous main square. Pyrgi is one of the most amazing villages we’ve ever seen and it was so good to be right in the centre of it.

Positive: Beautiful, traditional Pyrgi house. Felt like we were staying in a gorgeous medieval home with modern comforts. Location was great—3 minute walk to the village square and the same distance to the parking area. Host was very kind, helpful and quick with responses. Pyrgi is a beautiful village that’s about a half hour’s drive from Chios with easy access to the best beaches in the south and west of the island. The house’s washing machine and 2 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with showers were very convenient for our family of 3. Some minor things to note—the downstairs bedroom doesn’t have a door on it, just a doorway (no issue for our son). There is also no a/c downstairs, but our son was comfortable with just a fan, as the house stays much cooler than the outside because of the stone walls. The kitchen with a full size fridge and dining area are downstairs, whereas the living room with a mini -fridge, second bedroom with door, and a second bathroom (with washer) are upstairs. The upstairs rooms all have a/c and there is a very small balcony that seats 2 people, which is useful for drying clothes. The host also allows guests to use a larger, private outdoor seating area right next door to the house. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Pyrgi.
